“Old world charm”

We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely hotel earlier this month. Our room was extremely comfortable and quaint. Breakfast was excellent as was the service we received. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location, in the centre of Stratford Upon Avon could not have been better, within easy walking distance of all attractions. The only possible problem is parking as you can't be sure there will be a space when you arrived. Having said that we always managed to get a park.

We stayed in Stratford Upon Avon for one night this weekend and this hotel provided a brilliant location to explore the town without having to get a bus or a cab at any stage. It is close to the shops, restaurants, and all the tourist attractions are just a few minutes walk away.

The hotel is exactly as you would expect really - oldy worldy and traditional, and it remains authentic to this tudor feel throughout.

Our room (137) was on the first floor and was comfortable with a four poster bed. It wasn't huge but had enough space for us. There was quite a lot of noise from other guests at times, but we were aware there was a disco going on till late and this is to be expected. It didn't really bother us or disturb our nights sleep.

We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment on this but can say that there are many good restaurants just a stones throw from the hotel so guests may wish to try these instead.

The hotel carpark was full but we telephoned reception and they directed us to the NCP which was about 3-5 mins walk away. The cost of this for 24hours was £13 compared to £10 at the hotel.

All in all I would definitely consider booking this hotel if I go back to the town.

A really quiet room, just what was needed after a fairly intense theatre trip. Very good breakfast, lovely bathroom, really comfy bed, rather tatty bedroom furniture and wonky pictures on the wall - but who cares for a one night stay. Parking could be an issue for a longer stay, but arrangements with nearby multi-storey very reasonable.

Room Tip: Stayed in Garrick Wing - well away from the wedding disco we were warned about on arrival. Didn'...

Have stayed here a number of times in order to go to the theatre. The beds are really comfy as are the rooms. The food is top quality and the service throughout is excellent. Right in the centre of Stratford and minutes walk from the theatre.
