We had booked two rooms for a spa break, the rooms were very comfortable, spa treatments were excellent, staff very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is of very good quality and variety, dinner in the restaurant of a very high standard and they looked after my partners dietary requirements very well. I would highly recommend a break at this hotel and i hope to return there again very soon

Room Tip: It is worth buying the rewards card, which allows a free late checkout, paper and room upgrade for f...

We booked at short notice and paid the spring sale rate, which for £75 was good value. Our room in the main hotel was lovely, very clean, had a great view of the grounds and fantasic wall paper!

We did not use any of the leisure facilties so cannot comment on them.

Breakfast was very nice and set us up for the day.

Every memeber of staff we meet was exceptionally polite and very welcoming.

Would recommend this hotel.

From the dead flowers on the dining tables at dinner and breakfast, to squirty cream for the scones with instant coffee for afternoon tea, a bedroom falling apart and mixed in with another 20 annoying issues, our one night stay was a nightmare. I used the online feedback form to express my feelings and received an automated response expressed pleasure that I'd enjoyed my stay. No response from the staff while we were there and not event an email nor phone call from anyone since we left. Awful.

I am sorry to read that you did not enjoy your stay here in February. I can assure you that we do not use squirty cream or instant coffee. Unfortunately as I do not know your name I cannot trace all of your comments back to the Guest Feedback forms although I am suprised you recieved an automated response as this is not our procedure. Once again thank you for your comments.

I find all Barcelo hotels clean, pleasant and the rooms are always attractively decorated. A little bit of affordable luxury. I have heard the restaurant here is very good - Easter Sunday menu was a bit steep at £40 each for 3 courses though!

Room Tip: They offered us an upgrade for £20 on arrival - we asked to see the room before agreeing.

My husband and I and our 15 year old daughter had two nights at Billesley over Easter. We booked a family room and got a good deal. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The room was a suite with a separate living area with a sofa bed for our daughter and large bedroom with en-suite for us. Very comfortable and spacious accomodation, shabby chic and charming. The hotel is steeped in history and it has a connection to Shakespeare. We dined in the restaurant on our first night, had drinks in the wood panelled bar beforehand. Dinner was very good. Not cheap but a real treat and the service excellent with just the right amount of friendliness and reserve. The sommelier new his wines too.
We enjoyed the indoor pool and sauna and steam room and had a few wanders around the lovely grounds and chapel.
To sum up, Billesley is a lovely and rather grand Elizabethan hotel where you are made to feel at home and very welcome and is not in the least bit stuffy or pretentious. Really excellent value for money, a great find.

Room Tip: Room 15 is extremely spacious and would be good for up to a family of four.
