I had stayed here a while back during the Birmingham Spring fair and could not wait to bring my wife from the USA.

Everything was absolutely perfect and the front desk was extremely helpful. I spend over 100 nights on the road each year and this hotel is a *must* when I am in the area.

Room Tip: The New rooms in the Barn area are quiet and clean

Went for a one-night spa break. Had an amazing time. Beds were soft and fluffy. Hannah in the spa was lovely and gave a cracking massage. The food was spectacular -- couldn't fault the breakfast or dinner quality or timeliness. Lounged around almost all day in our robes and slippers. The staff was lovely and friendly, the room was great (not that we spent much time in it, but hey), we spent most of Sunday afternoon chiling outside with our drinks and magazines in our spa robes. Pool was nice, just super. Perfect for a chillout break with a mate, even though there was a wedding on, there were enough staff to make us feel quite at home. I can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Our room on in the inner courtyard was quiet and the bathroom was large.

We went on a last minute spa break and for the price this place was lovely ~ especially the excellent customer service! The building is amazing! We had two treatments each in the spa, the treatment room was calm but the chill out area is part of the reception to the gym and treatment rooms and is constantly noisy ~ the CD plays loud, upbeat music the whole time and you can hear the staff working ~ so this bit wasn't as relaxing as a dedicated chill out room such as at Mal Maison or the Village. There is a pool and a steam room but no jacuzzi. There is a gym but we didn't venture in and the room had been refurbished but could have still done with some work. Dinner was absolutely gorgeous and breakfast was plentiful. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: All the rooms appear to be super!

Thank you for your post, I am pleased to read that you enjoyed your relaxing spa break despite the lack of chill out area in the spa. This will be taken into consideration and improved as soon as we have the opportunity to do so. I hope you will return soon.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Billssley Manor, 20 years ago. To date, we have not had a more exquisite stay. We stayed in the four-poster bed room, which was so beautiful. We had dinner in the dining room which was truly the best meal we have ever had. This fall we will be returning to Billesley Manor for our 20th Anniversary. I'm so happy to see that the hotel is still as lovely as it was 20 years ago.

Have just spent a couple of nights here. Overall, a lovely stay. Our room was nice, overlooking the pretty topiary garden. Modern bathroom and comfy bed and pillows. It was however very warm, even with the windows wide open. The complimentary bottled water was very welcome. There was a good choice at breakfast, but the orange juice and scrambled eggs were pretty poor. Pool area was nice. In my opinion, the hotel could do with a bit of a refurb, for instance, the carpets were a little worn and clashed a bit with the wallpaper. A bit of decorating would really make a difference. Staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much bother.

We have used this hotel twice, once for a big family event and recently for a stop en route to Wales. On both occasions the hotel exceeded our expectations. Service was excellent, dinner exceptional for a hotel of this standard and the staff were friendly, efficient and very helpful. our rooms were well appointed and comfortable and the hotel offered good facilities. There is even a tiny church adjoining the hotel grounds which repays exploration. We are looking forward to finding a reason to stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main hotel building.

Thank you for your comments, I am pleased that you have enjoyed both of your stays at Billesley Manor. Did you know that Shakespeare reputedly married a pregnant Anne Hathaway in our little church! Come back soon to find out more of our wonderful history - now theres an excuse!
