If your looking for a Hotel with Character look no further.
Ideally situated in the centre of Stratford perfect for the Theater.
Real Tudor feel to all the public rooms, wonderful individual bedrooms, excellent food and well stocked bar what more could you ask !
One negative no parking at the Hotel but parking available at £11.00 per day some 200yds away, which can be added to your bill.

When booking I did try to get a character room but unfortunately they were all taken so we stayed here for one night in a Grand Double Room. Initial impressions of the hotel are great. The entrance and reception look impressive. The building is very old and had a charm that is not in hotels than are newly built. The only one negative for me was that the room did feel smaller than I expected a Grand Room to be but the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom modern and well appointed and the sleep quality was great - could not hear a pin drop. Parking was a 5 minute walk away but I don't find this an issue when the location it central in a town or city. The breakfast was great in the morning - I particularly enjoyed the Eggs Royal.

Stayed here for one night and alto it is a little pricey it is a really nice place to stay, the rooms are only small but they are very clean and well equiped with mod cons, breakfast was ok. The shops are on the doorstep with attractions close by. I would definatly stay again.

We stayed at the White Swan for one night in a double room. The room itself was very small but very well appointed. We were happy with the cleanlyness of the room, it was spotless. The bed was reasonably comfortable and decor fresh.

The parking is a little tricky. Requires you to unpack luggage (we are not light travellers as we have come from New Zealand) before driving a short distance and walking back to the hotel for check in. Only a few minutes but travellers should be aware of this. Parking is an additional cost.

The internal layout of the hotel is a little confusing with different levels and hallways that seemed almost maize like. No doubt if staying longer this would become clearer. There is of course a lift for guests.

We did not eat at the White Swan although we did enjoy breakfast. The standard was good with normal cold selections and a good variety of hot fresh cooked items.

The position of this hotel is excellent. It is close to most of the main tourist attractions all an easy walk.

Would recomment this hotel to other travellers. Would however suggest they book a larger room if travelling with suitcases.

Room Tip: Our double room was quite small. Would be adequate if travelling without cases.

We stayed at the White Swan for 1 night. The hotel is absolutely charming and the rooms do amaze you. We stayed in the "Twelfth Night" and indeed it is a mixture of old character along with all the mod cons one may need ( air con included). The bathroom did not fail to impress with an iron free standing bath and his and hers showers! Staff are very accommodation, friendly and the food is great too. Would not hesitate to recommend this charming hotel to anyone.
