We have just stayed for 1 night at this lovely pub/hotel. Everything was first class. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The rooms more than adequate. All in all very good value for money. The breakfast was excellent too with again first class service. I would definitely recommend this place. Wish we had eaten there at lunch time. Location is also very good as very much in the centre of all the attractions.

Room Tip: We had a Grand room. Very very good. View not so good but everything else perfect.

I originally booked a classic double for two nights for my partners birthday through trip advisor based on the reviews and the roll top baths (securing a 10% discount) upon arrival and check in I was a little disappointed to find I didn’t have one - however the classic double room was lovely, comfy bed, huge walk in shower with overhead power shower (and a delicious happy birthday cake with a message on a wooden board which I didn’t ask for only advised it was a birthday celebration) and so everything else you would expect from a 4* hotel. I spoke to Matthew at reception explaining my disappointment at not having a bath to which he upgraded us to a character room on this occasion as it wasn’t being used..... now I’m not exaggerating when I say this was the best room we have ever stayed in - it looked like a Tudor film set (I expected the maids to walk in at any minute!), separate dressing room, steel roll top bath, settee and coffee table and Beams; loads of them! I literally jumped with glee and it really did make our weekend wonderful and spectacular. Matthew is wonderful and I told him so everytime I saw him (poor lad!) Breakfast was delicious (especially the poached eggs - how so soft?) as other reviews have noted the car park is only a short walk away and can be accessed two ways from the car park (Mansell Street) the quickest of which is; turn left when coming down the ramp out of the car park and walk into the car park adjacent to the Cinema (which is still there by the way?!) and you will come to the walkway that leads onto the White swan reception. All the staff were wonderful, polite and courteous at all times (obviously my favourite was Matthew!) we were on the front side of the hotel facing the street and with the double glazing I could not hear the street noise (we stayed a Sunday and Monday night) over all wonderful stay would definitely stay here again and highly recommended. Car parking is £22 for 48 hours (which was about the average price fopr this length of time) - but found that there is hardly anywhere in the town you can park for fre for that long.
The hotel is a short walk form 'bards walk' and the town and was very convenient for coming back to drop shopping off!
We didnt eat dinner or lunch here unfortunately - Also does afternoon tea. Seems a little steep (price wise) but about average for an a'la carte menu in this town and if judging by the rest of the hotel standards would probably be schmazing aswell!
I didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to go back!

Room Tip: Get a character room fi you can afford it, you wont regret it!

This hotel is in a beautiful historic building, tastefully updated with stylish hotel rooms.

The original inn part has all the beams and olde worlde charm you could want, and is located right in the centre of Stratford, just a few minutes walk from the theatre and riverside. The hotel was very nicely done, with an unsurprising Shakespearean theme, but not overdone. Our room was fairly small but with nice modern decor, and well appointed with a great shower. Breakfast was also really well done, served in the old part of the building, and staff were helpful and welcoming. Shame it didn't have a free car park, but that was the only minor down point.

Just returned from a last minute overnight stay. We stayed in an upgraded room and found it to be pleasant. We were particularly impressed with the spacious bathroom with roll top bath and walk in shower. We found the hotel to be in a good location within easy walking distances of the top attractions. The staff were all very friendly and always asked if we were okay. The breakfast was first class, well presented and the restaurant ambiance added to the experience. Will definitely be returning.

This hotel has recently been renovated. We were in room 106 with a large comfortable king size bed. Lovely bathroom with a double rain shower. Breakfast was very good and made to order and served in their historic dining room. Fantastic location and the staff were polite and friendly. A big thank you to Mathew for giving us an upgrade. We also had dinner in the restaurant which we enjoyed very much. I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Stayed her last year with my partner for a cheeky weekend away from the kids! We loved it stayed in the Four Poster bedroom with free standing bath. Accommodation is amazing - a must place to take your loved one, so romantic and peaceful. Staff helpful and breakfast was nice although not a lot of choice.
Feature/Grand Rooms are pricy at approx £150 per night, but worth it for a special occasion.
Would defo recomend and return.

Room Tip: If a special occasion do upgrade the room so worth it.
