My family of four recently returned from England and stayed a wonderful 2 nights at the Penshurst Guest House. We were a little apprehensive after reading the mixed reviews but booked the Bridge room as it was one of very few choices in Stratford that provided a double bed and two twins. Imagine our relief when Karen welcomed us at the door and showed us to a beautiful, clean, and cozy en suite room. The room was comfortable, quiet, and cheerfully decorated. The television worked well as we were able to watch the Olympic highlights before retiring each night. The bathroom facilities were necessarily small but perfectly functional.
The Guest House provided kitchen facilities and free wireless internet (we did not avail ourselves of the English breakfast). A parking pass was provided for our car to be parked on the street as their car park was full. Still, the parking was very close. When we had any question, Karen or her son were promptly available and were more than helpful. The Guest House is a very short walk to the town center and its attractions.
This place was perfect for our family's needs and very affordable. How fortunate that such an opportunity exists. We had high praise for the Penshurst Guest House.More
