My partner booked a one night stay at Sue and Simon's Guest House last week and we were not disappointed.
We arrived mid morning when rooms were still being serviced, but were welcomed into the dining room and offered homemade cake and tea which were delicious.
Our room was delightful - tastefully decorated, clean and well maintained.
Sue and Simon couldn't do enough to welcome us - lending us maps, giving directions to local attractions and even lending us a programme to the theatre show we'd booked for the evening.
Overnight was quiet and the bed very comfortable.
Breakfast (which you are asked to order by individual item the night before) was cooked well and used tasty good quality ingredients.
Despite only booking for the one night, we were allowed to leave our car in the car park for a second day while we walked up to the racecourse for a food festival saving us considerable cost with car park charges.
All in all an excellent stay!
The accommodation is well appointed (5 minute pleasant walk to centre of town), pleasantly decorated and very homely.
Thank you Sue and Simon for making my Birthday weekend so enjoyable!
