My boyfriend and I spent a weekend in Stratford in order to get away from the hustle and bustle of London for a weekend. Had a lovely Friday / Saturday night stay at the Emsley. Location perfect - just round the corner from the train station and a short walk into town. The owners were welcoming and didn't mind that we needed to arrive outside of the normal check-in times due to our train arrival time. Very useful when describing where to go in Stratford - I'd never visited before so any information was welcome! Room was beautifully clean - bed extremely comfortable and very well stocked with teas and coffees! They'd even turned the lights and heating on in in our room in anticipation of our arrival. Breakfast was a delight - full English on Saturday morning meant we had to opt for one of the lighter options on the Sunday! We were so well accommodated in this lovely home which the owners, quite rightly, are very proud of. Just the weekend we needed to relax and recharge the batteries before returning to city life.
