“Welcoming, attractive, spotlessly clean and very conveniently located”
Reviewed 15 November 2009

Our one night stay in Stratford upon Avon could not have been more comfortable. The Guest House was attractive, spotlessly clean and very conveniently located (<10 minute walk to the town centre).
Jeanne was incredibly hospitable and welcoming. The room was lovely, really comfortable bed, with lots of nice touches like the very pretty bed linen.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Lots of choice e.g. fresh coffee, cereals, fruit salad, and best of all a huge cooked breakfast using very good quality ingredients.
One of the nicest B&B's I have ever stayed in- I would highly recommend it.

Not spectacular, but pretty and clean. Breakfast was quite nice and there was free parking. Our hostess was friendly and helpful, but also fairly private, which was fine with us. We were very tired and just needed a pleasant place to rest. We got it.

I stayed here with some friends for a hen do. We were greeted in a friendly manner shown to our room and given plenty of information.
Our room was a twin which I would describe as compact but functional decorated in neutral tones. The en suite bathroom again was compact but clean and did the job.
Breakfast was good, a choice of cereals, a fry up (not greasy) and toast, it's served in the dinning room which looks over the garden.
I understand guest can use the garden though we didn't. The guest house has off road parking for 6 cars, and is located within a easy 5 min walk to Stratford town centre and the theatre.

The lady of the house was waiting at the door for us (we rang in advance to let her know we were only a few minutes away), was very welcoming, asked us about our breakfast needs and was very able to give directions to local attractions in detail. She saw us up to our room whjich was fairly tight for space as it was a family room with double and single and a small bathroom, but that is no criticism, only an observation. Everything was spotlessley clean, fresh towels folded very nicely on the bed etc. Although a small shower room, the ensuite was newly decorated and well appointed. Full English breakfast was freshly cooked, not greasy, hot and tasty. The buffet table had fresh percolated coffee, cereals and a lovely selection of fresh fruit salad and yoghurts too. We paid £58 for the night and would deifnately use this again. We have children but did not take them with us this time as a break for us, but they had a gorgeous and very large garden comlete with chidlren's play toys etc so families could be equally well catered for. Parking is on front drive, fairly tight but at least 6 cars can park there. Very close to Stratford's main town centre, but no so much that you suffer from any road noise etc. Fantastic all-rounder.

We spent a long weekend here during January 2009, the principal purpose of the visit being to see the RSC production of Romeo and Juliet.

The guesthouse is well placed for walking into the centre of Stratford upon Avon, which takes about ten minutes or probably twice as long to get to the railway station.

The theatres are all nearby and there is a good selection of restaurants in that part of town, with some closer ones available too.

Our room was clean and neat. We chose a smaller room at the back overlooking the garden. This was the quietest part of the house and we do enjoy peace over large accommodation. Everything we needed was provided, with an en suite shower and toilet.

There is free parking on site and sufficient spaces provided for every room to have one. The guesthouse owner serves a good full English breakfast, with choices as regards the side items such as juice, cereal, yoghurt and fresh fruit salad.

If you’re visiting to see a Shakespeare play, and who wouldn’t be in Stratford, then the owner clearly knows her way around the subject. She can also help with information about other local attractions, including the towns and villages in the area. We advise don’t miss Coventry while you’re there, as it’s well worth the trip.

A good guesthouse and good value in our view. We’d have no reservations about staying there again in the future.

We feel so lucky to have found this amazing B&B!
We were on a serious budget, and expecting to compromise comfort for value.
Instead, we're greeted by a fabulous woman, who goes out of her way to be accommodating, a comfortable and lovely room, free tea with biscuits, and a great breakfast in the morning.
Seriously, this place is so great for what it costs. And it's right across the Avon from city center.
The owners are friendly and interested without being overbearing and bossy.
Also, really well priced for being on the same street as 20 other B&B's that cost twice as much.
