Booked over bank holiday in May. looked a nice site the views were very good, the shop was very good when it was open. Close to Stratford upon Avon bus stops right outside. Field for games and dogs excellent.

The showers and toilets were not always clean, ran out of toilet paper and no hot water one morning and queues especially at the mens wash rooms as it was so packed. Tents were too close to each other and warden boasted how he fits in more units than allowed.
(Actually found the warden helpful at first but then his humour wore a bit thin after a couple of days.)

Wouldn't go back as simple as that.

The pitches are a good size but are extremely close together and most slope quite a lot.
The toilets were too few with dirty floors and toilets and no evidence of being cleaned during our 6 night stay should have been 7 we left early. The showers were dirty and the water did not drain away very well.
The waste bins are not emptied often enough and by day 3 it was difficult to get stuff in them emptied on day 4.
The shop was advertised as open 7-10am and 4-7pm but in fact these times Were more like a guideline as not always open.
We were plagued by wasps for our whole visit, we killed many and it appears that everyone on the site was harassed by them every day.
TV reception was a bit erratic
This was our 3rd visit and I think the last

We are regular campers who love nothing better than a weekend under canvas. We booked this site as we were looking for somewhere in Stratford we could camp in our tent but that also allowed camper vans as my mum was joining us, it was a Big mistake. The campsite is tiny with nothing to do. The pitches are a good size but are extremely close together and this is set up more for campers and caravans than for tents. The toilets were disgusting with overflowing sanitary bins, dirty floors and toilets and no evidence of being cleaned during our 3 night stay. The showers were dirty and hot water was not always available (only managed one hot ish shower in the 4 days). The shop was advertised as only open 7-10am and 4-7pm but in fact these times Were more like a guideline as not always open then but it was hardly worth opening for what the shop had to offer. We were plagued by wasps for our whole visit, at one time my partner killed 5 and I still counted 10 around our tent. When we mentioned to the warden we thought there might be a wasp nest he told us categorically there wasn't a problem with wasps, which was a joke as everyone on the site was harrassed by them every single day. The road noise was so loud it was almost impossible to sleep at night, and that coupled with other campers allowing their dogs to just bark all the time made it a nightmare. On top of all this the campsite was extremely over priced for what it offered. The only saving grace was that the site was a very short drive into stratford which was truly beautiful with lots to do (check out the MAD museum and butterfly farm as both were unique and superb) In short I would highly recommend all campers to avoid Dodwell park at all costs if they are looking for an enjoyable camping experience.

Within 10 minutes off arriving, my children were told not to play with a football, frisbee or play in the toilets!
There wasn't a playground of any sort for our children to play on, so suffice to say, they were bored! We were told when lighting a bbq, that we couldn't use wood to get it going as it was classed as an open fire.
We didn't feel very relaxed and felt like we were being watched constantly.
Shop was only open from 8-10:30 am & 4-7 pm which was quite annoying.
Good for couples, but not children!

We had never been camping before and were a little apprehensive. We need not have worried, it was great. David was very helpful and showed us to our spot. If we needed anything or hadnt got we couldve borrowed.

We had a beautiful view. The shower / wc block was very clean and spacious. The park shop had loads of stock, sweets, tinned products and fresh.

The park was in a good spot although you would need a car to get around.

Would definitely go back (bigger tent next time).

We stayed for 7 nights, taking advantage of the 7 for 6 offer... Warden was helpful and the pitch was spacious. The site is in a good position. We went to the Races, and the course is only a mile away. The facilities are clean and the shop is open with a wide variety of products on sale, if you forget anything. We had a really good holiday and would stay again. ;0)

We arrive on site by taxi from Stratford Upon Avon train station, the owner helped us with our rucksacks too our pitch, we pitched up and chatted with the owners, the toilets and shower block were clean and tidy, with plenty of free hot water, there were lots of families, kids were about, but quiet! An excellent site with fantastic views and a lovely walk into Stratford.
