We visited this site as a group of three adults and three children (all aged 11yrs).The site was clean and well positioned, close to lots of attractions. Warwick castle was about a 25 min drive and Stratford was only about 5 mins.
There was a large field where the children could play which was brilliant. There are no ball games on the park, which is fair enough but this rule was repeated several times to our party although we didn't take any sort of ball with us and informed the warden of this more than once (he didn't seem to believe us!) I think being given the list of rules on arrival was adequate enough for us all to take this on board!
Dave the warden did help us out with lending us an electrical adapter to pump up an air bed and a ladder and was always about if we needing anything. Unfortunately Linda, the other warden was rude on every occasion we or our children came in to contact with her! This did mar our holiday to a degree and we have warned friends, with children, away from the site. We got the feeling that children weren't welcome and what little time we spent on the site (which was very little, we were out nearly all day most days of our four night stay) we didn't feel relaxed.
We were really looking forward to our summer break and did have a lovely time, just marred by the rudeness of the warden Linda. Because of this we wouldn't recommend.

A nice, compact campsite near to Stratford on Avon that provides everything you need for a stress free stay. The pitches are good sized, and the park is well maintained, A bus stop just outside the park is good for getting to and from Stratford, and timetables are easily found. Clean toilet and shower facilities, and a small site shop that has the essentials. The highlight of staying here, esp with children, is Dave, the Park Warden. Dave is a welcoming, helpful, and cheery fella who engages brilliantly with all the children. We would be happy to stay here again.

Please note the excellent for accommodation is because we had a great tent!
We'd never been here before but wanted a campsite about an hour from home so we could leave straight from work on a Friday and have the tent set up and cooking for 7ish to make the most of the weekend. Searched the internet and found Dodwell Park so thought we'd give it a try. Must admit the deluge in Coventry and the heavy rain in Stratford on Friday afternoon put doubts in our minds as to whether to turn round but we persevered and glad we did. We were greeted by Linda and Dave the wardens, very nice and helpful and shown to our pitch. Very big so plenty if space to spread out and room for the car. Several others arrived, Dave showing them the way and stopping in between to chat to everyone and make sure all was OK. Site was fairly quiet (although there was a rather loud foursome who sat up talking loudly until 2am on Saturday night but this didn't detract from the whole weekend) and facilities good, showers hot and toilets kept clean. Took the bus to Stratford on Saturday, bus stops right outside the park entrance which is handy. Needed some supplies when the shop was shut but Dave opened up for us which was great and saved a drive into town. All in all a very good and well kept site, good facilities and very helpful and friendly staff.

Had a lovely weekend break at Dodwell Park, Stratford-Upon-Avon, camping with family and friends. I have to say that my first impression of the site was not brilliant, due to being somewhat enclosed without views. That said, anyone booking this camp site would be aware of that prior to booking and as I was part of a group visiting Stratford, location was our main priority. My initial impression was soon spun on its head by the extremely warm welcome we received from the lady in reception (Linda). I have to say Linda and her husband Dave make this camp site a truly friendly place! We were shown to our pitch told that between the one caravan and three tents in our party, we could pitch pretty much as we wanted as long as we were within our boundaries. We were booked in and given a list of the campsite rules which Linda jokingly said she would be around later to test us on. We were particularly impressed with the way in which this site was managed, in that both Dave and Linda were hands-on and out and about around the site to make sure everyone was enjoying their stay. Contrary to another review I have read on here, there is an 11 pm noise cut off however, not all campers are respectful of that. There are also "no ball games" rules etc, which makes for a more relaxing break for those of us who are camping without children or who are teaching our children camping etiquette and respect for others. It is true that this site does not have a children's play area as such, just a large field, but again, this is something that campers are aware of before they book. The facilities on site toilet/shower blocks are adequate, if somewhat small but always clean with hot water. Showers also had the addition of plenty of hooks and wire corner baskets to stand your toiletries on, making life easier than some larger better equipped campsites I have been on. The site is very well organised with plenty of information about the surrounding area. We only used the shop for milk etc but when we return we would probably bring less provisions as the shop looked well stocked. We were also given information about local taxi/takeaway restaurant services which was most welcome. During our stay here, we had massive thunder storms but non of the pitches became waterlogged, despite it having been very wet prior to our arrival. As stated in other reviews, there is a bus stop directly outside the gates of the camp site with buses running every half hour into Stratford. A taxi for four will cost pretty much the same as four adult bus fares. Whilst there we had a takeaway Indian meal from Chutney's Indian Restaurant (Bordon Hill) which was enjoyed by the whole party, a fabulous meal in Stratford at El Greco, (brilliant service, food, atmosphere & price) and just a generally lovely time browsing the many shops, visiting the Tudor Experience and enjoying the sights and sounds of Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Went camping here for 2 nights in June and thoroughly enjoyed this site that much me and my girlfriend have decided to book again for august.
Ideal location from Stratford town, only 2 miles away. There is a bus stop right outside the site to take you into town if you wanted to keep your car on site.
The 2 wardens (Dave and his wife) are very helpful and always says hello and stop for a chat to see if everything is ok for you.
Toilets were clean, always hot water, 2 washing up sinks which were spotless.
Looking forward to our return in August when we can explore Stratford again.
Book up you won't be disappointed.

When looking for a caravan/camping site close to Stratford, I came across this site which had some good reviews. We certainly weren't disappointed. The site wardens were really helpful, the site was clean and well organised and the location was perfect for visiting Stratford and other nearby attractions. With one price per pitch for tents, motorhomes or caravans, with or without awnings and electricity, who can argue with that?
