I loved this place nearly as much as Anne Hathaway's house but not quite! This house still has a lived in feel and the garden is pretty. Displays are good with a detailed info' sheet and helpful, keen staff.

Despite that my Japanese daughter does not understand English, she could enjoy her visit here by the program for children to find lovely stuffed mice from all the rooms. I was happy to have enough time to look around during her search.

A nice visit. The house is lovely and there are several interesting objects, paintings and pieces of furniture. The garden is nice too but a bit small. We were done very quickly - less than an hour.

This is a delightful timber framed house which has been carefully restored and the work is ongoing. Originally owned by a wealthy doctor who was married to one of Shakespeare's daughters, the place had been added to over the years but the Victorians had made some amendments which damaged the fabric of the building, and this is currently being addressed. There are quite a few rooms, all very impressive, and a lovely garden. It was one of our favourite houses to visit in stratford and can be seen as part of a block booking plus bus tour.i

We stumbled upon this quite by chance having got off the Red Bus Tour outside. We realised it was part of the Shakespear trust and as we had tickets already from Shakespears birthplace, our entry here was included so we went in.

I was glad we did, we were greeted by a very nice man at the desk who was about to deliver a talk to us sightseers about the house, furnature and the family that lived here. It was well presented and informative. We really enjoyed listening to him it brought the house to life.

It's been kitted out with furnature from the time Shakespear was around.

I enjoyed looking around the house and would recommend a visit particularly if you have the tickets already from the birthplace because your entry here is included.
