Owner description: This award winning museum is situated right in the heart of the historic town of Stratford upon Avon within a Grade 2* listed historic building. The attraction depicts various aspects of Tudor life in an exciting atmospheric setting. This museum obviously does not have a large budget, but you can tell it is run by people who have a real passion for what they are doing, which makes you love it that little bit more. It took about 30 minutes to walk around and they had a find the animal activity for the children which gives mum and dad time to read the information on display.

There was also a pirate activity, which was very informative, unfortunately when we attended there was only 3 children, so it was more facts than fun, but I am sure it would be more fun if there were more children.

We booked the museum and tour. The museum is bijou! i.e. small and doesn't take long to walk round however there are lots of very interesting and informative information plaques on the walls. I have read lots on Tudor history and thought I was pretty well informed but..... learnt lots more. The best part for us was the tour with William Shakespeare - his tights showed a shapely calf and he looked very well for his age! William obviously knew a lot about himself and his plays and shared his knowledge in a very clear and fun way. Even acted a few of his lines. It is worth paying the extra £, which is a charge from the Church not Will, to see where Will is buried: the Church is beautiful and full of its own quirky history as well as being home to a Will and some of his relatives. A great afternoon.

I visited Stratford on August 8th 2014 with my two daughters. we came across Tudor World on our wanderings and with out a doubt decided to go in. we all love our history and enjoy visiting quirky little attractions such as Tudor World.
It was a little gem, the owner of the attraction was on the desk was and we must of chatted to him for at least 20 mins before we went round. He told us all sorts about the place and about the ghosts and owners of the building. we booked a ghost tour ( under the name Lucy, which turned out to be the same as the name of one of the ghostly residence ) as well as looking around it in the daytime.
we all wandered about looking at the interesting facts, decorations as well as the historical tudor building.
We went back in the evening for the ghost tour and thoroughly enjoyed quietly shuffling around in the dark while listening to the gruesome and haunting tales about the house.

It might not be at the top of the list of UK attractions with the London Dungeon or Madame Tussaud's but its not trying to be as good as them! Its just adds to them and is there for us all to enjoy while we explore our great country...

I'll be back to do it again on my next visit!

As we were only visiting for the day we went on the guided tour by "William Shakespeare". We were guided around all of the important historical sites and the guide was engaging and brought the tour, and history, to life. The tour itself isn't a long distance and it's suitable for all ages. Even our dog was made welcome. We'd highly recommend this as an introduction to this beautiful historical town.

we came into Stratford a few Saturdays ago to take part in the evening tour of Tudor World, a group of adults and teenagers and found it fabby fun!

A creepy building in the dark, lit only by our tour guide at the front and our lantern barer at the rear, whats not to like! Cobbled stones, rickert creaky stairs, spooky rooms and an energetic, knowledgeable, charismatic guide.

We all loved it, some of our group said they felt ghostly experiences, I didnt, but was creaped out quite enough so considered that a blessing :)

No jump scares or fake ghostly sounds, just great fun and good value for money.

Possibly not the thing for real youngies or real oldies as some of the tales are thrillingly gruesome there are steep stairs.

All of our group loved it and the teenagers are well up for another visit over halloween!
