This is an excellent tour with the Bard himself beginning at Tudor World, once a tavern frequented by Shakespeare. We were walked through Shakespeare’s birthplace , his School and the Guild Church, the site of his house when famous, his daughter’s homes and finally his resting place. The tour was presented by a highly accomplished actor who managed to transport us from the modern-day Stratford Upon Avon to a quaint medieval town, back in time. There is a lot of walking involved as it lasts nearly 2 hours if you go into the church for an extra £2.00 to see WS’s grave.Highly recommended !
Really informative and fun tour. The hour just flew by. Our tour guide (Sean) knew his stuff and kept us interested on a very hot day. Good on him. Really enjoyable visit and I'd recommend this to anyone. Well worth the money especially at just £7.50.
Lots of interesting & quirky facts about Tudor England. Find out if you're a witch & what became of the character assigned to you on entrance. Great fun for all ages. Allow approx. 1hr for visit. Lots of steps but accessible with care for the less mobile & definitely worth the effort. Very friendly & helpful staff.
On the hottest day of the year so far we visited Tudor World to get some shelter from the afternoon sun
This is not a view from a distance/do not touch type museum it is definitely a join in and do museum which was great as we had it to ourselves but not so great when really busy
There are lots to see and things to do with many photo booth style opportunities
Some of the displays are looking a little old and tired but that adds to the whole experience
This was a bit of fun, We went along to this Tudor building and saw how the people of the Tudor lived. Smells, clothes. events, all explained. Lots of hands on exhibits to see and experience. Not too expensive a fun way of teaching history.
Interesting, lots of informative displays, need to take time to look and read all the details, and you get a good insight into life at this time. Don`t expect high tech displays but you can expect to leave having learnt some interesting facts.
