“Seen better days..... TLC required”
Reviewed 26 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Looking at this cottage online it looked like the perfect place to stay, idyllic, however having arrived it was a little disappointing, for starters it is situated on a very busy and fast road and just after a bend! I equally can't see how you would sleep 7, we were a party of 4 all coming from different parts of the UK and the parking wasn't ideal for 4 cars. One of the sofa's no longer has legs and is on the floor and the back garden needs some serious TLC as it's full of weeds which are quite high including a few nettles. The hot tub gave 2 of our group a rash and I had to have antibiotics on returning home for a skin infection! Having said that I don't like writing bad reviews, catching up with friends was great and Stratford Upon Avon is a beautiful place to visit, this cottage needs a few things doing so my advice to the owners would be shut down for a month and give it a little love..... improve the parking, replace the sofa, empty and clean the hot tub and check it more regularly especially as kids will often swim and drink the water. On a positive the bedding and towels were clean and the extras often not included were there ie washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs and toielet rolls etc.

“Just what my friends and I were looking for!”
Reviewed 8 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

My friends and I often like to get away for a long weekend for a girlie catch up, and this cottage was the perfect place to do just that!
Although it was set on quite a busy road, the cottage itself was very quite and felt secluded. It was extremely clean and the lovely touch of coffee, tea and milk being supplied was a welcome gesture after our journey. If you are tall in height, there are areas of the cottage that have low beams, so you do need to remember to duck..... but we loved this, we all felt that it added to the character of the cottage and location.
Macbeth cottage was a very short and easy distance from Stratford itself, none of us wanted to drive over the weekend and there was a good bus service with a bus stop across the road. Taxis were also very reasonably priced.
The last night of our stay we decided to eat at the local pub, The 4 Alls which was around a 5 minute walk away. The food was fantastic, and afterwards we spent the evening in the hot tub and played board games in the lounge area.
I can say on behalf of myself and my other 6 friends, we had a fantastic week and if we were ever to visit Stratford again we would not hesitate to book Macbeth cottage again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

“perfect location for a reunion with friends”

MacBeth Cottage was the perfect location for a couple of nights get a way. We were literally 10 mins max drive from the centre of Strattford. The cottage was traditional, quaint and very clean. We were lucky to get some decent English weather which allowed the teenages to check out the hot tub ! ...The garden was totally private and very pretty so we took advangate of this and ate outside. We missed not having a BBQ with having such good weather but it didnt stop us buying the throw a way type. Im sure it would be a definatate plus if the owner made one available to future guests. Antonia was very accomodating and allowed us a later check out which was much appreciated. Overall, lovely place and we would definatly recommend to others.

We stayed here for my sisters hen weekend and it was just perfect. Very quaint homely cottage in a perfect location for getting into Stratford. There were 6 of us which it slept comfortably. Very relaxing environment and the hot tub was a lovely added extra. Would definitely stay again and would recommend for a girls weekend away, small family break or relaxing couples retreat. Also the company went above and beyond in helping our weekend run smoothly with lots of advice and instructions.

We visited the cottage for a family members 50th and all six of us had a wonderful time. The cottage was spotless, everything supplied that you would expect and close to Strattford, the garden area is lovely especially the hot tub which we all really enjoyed. There is a pub called the four allls which is about a 5 minute walk that was fantastic and we ate here both nights, the prices were so good and the food was delicious, it also had a large beer garden which was perfect to sit outside and finish of our drinks.

“Lovely cosy cottage”

The cottage was easy to find, and although the road is busy we weren't really disturbed by the traffic noise. The cottage has loads of character, and was plenty big enough for the 3 of us. We had an issue with the Hot Tub, and were pleasantly surprised that it was corrected within an hour of raising the concern, on Easter Saturday evening - much appreciated, great service. Great location for the many attractions Stratford and Warwickshire have to offer.
