Owner description: Mary Arden's Farm was the childhood home of Shakespeare's mother. Today you can experience all the sights, sounds and smells of a working Tudor farm, just as it would have been when Shakespeare was a boy. Watch "Tudors" go about their daily routine, see rare breed animals and explore nature trails. There are daily falconry displays and archery at weekends and in school holidays. There is a playground for children from 2 upwards, a picnic area and a cafe. Mary Arden's Farm is a working farm that keeps pace with the season so there is always something new to see and do.The Farm is open seasonally from Easter to the end of October half-term.The Farm is 3 miles from the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon in the village of Wilmcote. There are buses and trains to Wilmcote. The train journey takes 5 minutes and the Farm is a short walk from Wilmcote rail station. It is also a pleasant walk along the canal from the centre of Stratford.

“Great for kids”
Reviewed 23 August 2012

Nicely restored buildings with old farm implements on display. Plenty of animals to touch & stroke - plus a well stocked cafe with locally produced food.

“Overpriced”
Reviewed 20 August 2012

It was a good outing but overpriced The guy who had a bird of prey display made our day he was funny , and played to the Audience and was very good at it , taught us about his birds.
However the guy in the Tudor clothes was a jobsworth and never smiled once .he is a very good advert for someone who is in the wrong job . Overall was a pleasent few hours

“A must on the Stratford trail”
Reviewed 20 August 2012

Do also pop into the shop which offers some very unusal gifts. Lovely house which is set in it's own large grounds. Also the cafe was a haven off the main tourist trail. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

“Farm”
Reviewed 15 August 2012

There was plent of things to do and see here especially for the children, from feeding the animals to colouring. Watching the women cook as it would have been done then was very informative.
