very interesting production, good staging and use of the Haitian/Egyptian setting. the secondary actors were particularly good. the theatre itself is interesting in that it's set up like a Shakespearean theatre. unfortunately we bought tickets right up on the right on the 2nd floor which gave us a bit of a neck strain, but we knew that before we bought the tickets so can't complain. a few people seemed to have come along for the fact of seeing a shakespeare play (to tick off on their tourist list) rather than actually understanding the play so that was a bit disappointing, but you can't really fault the theatre for that. enjoyable experience and lovely building.
