I liked this venue gym and spa. However I personally found that the management don't apply best customer business practice. I was told (verbally) on joining for a 3 month membership that at the end of the 3 months my membership would cancel. Be aware that this is NOT the case. Their small print T's & C's that they happily pointed out to me says that you still have to give 1 full months notice to make sure what you signed up for in the first place ends on time. Okay so fine.
However I pointed out to their customer service that my original 3 month membership expiry date was extended time after time after every covid lockdown. Left confused and unsure about the new expiry dates while just having to focus on a new born with health issues. This company could not be bothered to send out individual emails to advise customers of the exact new membership expiry date. Instead i recieced a blanket email aimed at all customers generally saying. Don't worry we will extend your membership etc. But no individual new expiry date.
Had they done this I would have been more aware of the exact date and given my notice in good time. As a customer I don't have the time to go checking dates and times or chase them up. I want to be properly notified by the company themselves.
They failed to keep me properly notified and now they insist on charging me a fourth month extra membership fee as my cancellation notice period. This is after I raised this issue as a complaint with their bannatyne head office customer support member 'Hannah'.
Fair enough during normal times when membership dates are clear. But they have no empathy at all during these current times. I found them to have a very blunt attitude towards my complaint.
Your 3 month membership does not mean 3 months only. It's misleading. What it really means is: it's an on going membership until you cancel it. If you don't spot the T's & C's to cancel with notice, they will charge you.
After dealing with poor attitude from their customer service. I'll never use the bannatyne company ever again

I booked last minute online for a full body massage and booking was very easy. All staff I met there were friendly and helpful. The place looks lovely and social distancing is well done. The relaxation room is such a nice touch as a waiting room for treatments. My massage was done by Alicja who was knowledgeable, friendly and made me feel very at ease, definitely the best massage I’ve had and she gave me useful advice about muscle tension!
Thank you so much- especially Alicja!

Dear Poppiseandlions,
thanks very much for taking the time to review and give Alicja a pat on the back.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Kind Regards

Great spa door but I missed the hammocks around the pool. Please replace them.
Nice relaxed spa... and Jodie is the best therapist ever. Her body scrub/ polish is the best ever and she so helpful. Lady on reception also wonderfully helpful.
I would recommend this spa but we need the hammocks back please!!!

Went to the spa for a friends birthday and whilst my treatment and the day at the spa was good, my friends treatment was consistently delayed. Firstly by the therapist not turning up on time, then further by a miscommunication and then delayed even further by them cleaning up after the last treatment. If this wasn't bad enough, they then decided to swap therapists half way through her treatment.
All of this meant her treatment time was almost halved.
She had travelled 100 miles to see me and go to this spa for her birthday and it has been extremely embarrassing that after writing a tripadvisor review and asked to contact Bannatyne, she has got consistently blamed by Wildmoor's manager, Francesca.
Their final email after going back and forth for a while is to tell her that it's now been too long since the treatment so they are unwilling to look any further. There has been no apology at any point and we're just being told that no notes were made about their staff not performing correctly.
As a local to this spa, I will not be recommending it. It's very disappointing from a spa that was once respected and is now anything but. Do not book.

Well it was more like our local leisure centre, the relaxation room was also the waiting room for treatments, not enough room to relax, had a relax for approx half an hour after treatment, went to get lunch (enjoyable) Wanted to have a swim, but there was not a chance of getting a bed or relaxing, people leaving towels on when they went for lunch, went back to the relaxation room nowhere to sit/lie so we left. BE Warned on our paperwork it said £10 refundable deposit on return of robe, when we got there it was £20 deposit each then only £10 refundable. we had no choice but to pay ! Overall would we go again, absolutely not, If you want a spa day it is advisable to pay more and go to a proper one like Ragdale Hall, this unfortunately was the same as our leisure centre down the road.

I booked the spa day through Spa Breaks.com for my husband and I’s wedding anniversary.
We arrived early in the morning and was greeted with a smile by the lovely receptionist who explained everything to us and where to sit until we met a therapist from the Spa.
Now yes they do OFFER a Spa bag with robes and towels etc (I can’t understand previous reviews of people saying how shocked they were as I received multiple correspondence from Bannatyne before our arrival explaining this and that it was optional for £20) so we came prepared with our own towels etc.
She gave us our wristbands for lockers and were met soon after by the therapist. She was lovely and showed us around explaining what rooms we could use and where everything was. They also told us the special offers they had on for the day in the spa too which sounded great!
We had our massages not long after. As I am pregnant they were told before hand by SpaBreaks.com and were very accommodating and I had an amazing facial done with natural treatments and made sure I was happy. The young girl was so nice and the treatment was so relaxing!! Hubby had a back massage which he enjoyed too.
Then we spent the rest of the morning in the pool and he used the facilities I couldn’t. Facilities were so modern and clean. Couldn’t fault it! We had a day bed and I brought some magazines with me to relax with. Lovely and warm inside with nice music.
A member of staff came round telling people that phones weren’t allowed in the pool area which I totally agree with and enjoyed reading and swimming.
We both had a wonderful day and will definitely be back. I was worried after I looked at the reviews but I couldn’t find any faults. Everything was explained in detail and all members of staff were lovely and kind.
