“A very good find!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2012

We stayed at the hotel with our 11 year old son who had suffered a football injury. The staff were exceptionally helpful, including allowing me to park the car in the lay-by at the entrance to the hotel as there were no available disabled spaces and he was in a wheelchair. Hotel was lovely, new, very clean, lovely bar and our room was faultless. Breakfast was also very good. Great location, about five minutes walk from the centre of town and next to the canal. We would have no hesitation in staying here again, tremendous value and lovely, friendly staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the canal - very peaceful and quiet with lovely views of barges.

I stayed here with my sister for a night last wweek. Check in was good, they even allowed us early to our room. Situated on the edge of the town - 5 - 10 min walk in, had a nice glass of wine sitting outside by the canal. We had the meal deal - £22 for a three course meal with drink and breakfast which was good value and the food was good. My only gripe was that we booked a twin room and it was a double bed and a settee that was turned into a single bed...very uncomfortable so my sister and I ended up in the double.

Stayed here last weekend, hotel is lovely and perfectly located for a stroll into Stratford (5 mins) The hotel is set alongside the canal with seating outside where you can watch the narrow boats go up and down with a glass or two, weather permitting! The restaurant is lovely but gets very busy. If you plan on eating in the restaurant in the evening, you should book on arrival and dont be in a rush. We booked a table for 8pm one night but unfortunately, didnt get our main course until 10pm, This is not a reflection on the staff, they all seemed to work extremely hard it is just such a busy restaurant.

The hotel staff were excellent especially the gentleman on reception, not sure of his name but it began with 'V'. He was so friendly and welcoming he was a credit to the hotel.

Parking is easy, you use a pay and display machine but press the yellow button first and it prints out a ticket for £1 which will be refunded in the restaurant.

Lovely weekend, will definately be back.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the canal would be quieter as the. others are near the road and carpark

We stayed over Easter when it was fully booked. We took the meal deal option, unfortunately so did many of the 350 guests for which they had neither the staff nor the facilities. The restaurant was far too small. We had to wait an hour and a half to get our main course. To their credit they refunded our meal deal payment. A lovely apologetic gent on reception dealt with our complaint very tactfully and we left happy. So all in all good value thanks?

Stayed here last weekend and I have to say I could not fault the hotel. Brilliant staff, lovely room and wonderful food. Everyone was happy to help us and nothing seemed to much trouble. Parking was cheap (£1 per night) and only 5 minutes away from town. Had food in the hotel restaurant on the first night which was absolutely lovely, great service, quick but not rushed and the food in both the evening and breakfast was brilliant (although not a great selection of fruit in the morning). Plenty of nice places to eat and drink in stratford as well. Comfortable beds and a good sized room with everything you could need. Overall a lovely weekend.
