The Mad Museum is centrally located and easy to find.

Whilst they have made the most of the limited space available to them, there just isn't really enough to make this visit worth the cost.

I'm not really sure how even a family of 4 could make this stretch beyond half an hour. There are, of course, several unique items on display, but many more just seem to be a variation of the same theme. Namely marble runs.

It's a shame because I do really like the concept, but it's let down - in my view - by the lack of size and variety.

I'm sorry to say I just couldn't recommend this as a place to visit.

Thank you for your feedback Jonni.
Kinetic Art, Automata and Steampunk is what The MAD Museum is all about and we aim to present a broad range of exhibits within these fields. Marbles runs have always been a clear favourite in the museum and in response to the comments we have received from visitors, we have as a result added to the assortment. We are constantly looking for new and exciting displays and will definitely take your observations on board.
Due to all the intricate details and buttons to press, many of our visitors spend over an hour looking at the machines. So having only spent 30 minutes going around would certainly have made the museum seem an expensive experience and we are sorry you did not feel that you could have spent more time there.
Thank you for your good and bad comments. I hope you will reconsider your decision not to visit us again in the future.

Could not visit this attraction because of my wife's walking difficulties. This venue represents a cobbled street so wheelchairs and mobility scooters are not advisable. Walking is possible with assistance.

Heard about it earlier in the year and as we were looking for a new outing with the kids and grandma decided to try this museum. It set back from the main road and a bit small, but have enough to see, touch and think about to keep kids and adults entertained. 5 – 105 old boys (and girls) will find this museum an inspiration. Most mention that the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Dear Donz69

Many thanks for coming to see us at the museum. We aim to offer a friendly and exciting experience from the moment you walk in until the minute you leave. A great welcoming smile and helpful team is something we make sure all our visitors experience.

We do try to maximise on the space we have available and with over 100 exhibits across 2 floors, I hope we have filled it as much as possible with something for everyone to see and enjoy - no matter the age!

Please do come again soon
Many thanks once again for your great review.

Fairly small building houses a large number of displays of mechanical contraptions (animated art). Many varieties -extreme ingenuity, weird, surprising, interactive, clever, funny....
Well worth a visit. Kids loved it too (though not as much as Dad)

Dear Rusty Rustic
Thank you for reviewing The MAD Museum, we are so pleased the whole family enjoyed the visit. As many of our visitors have commented the museum offers fun and excitement for all ages and often it is the older 'kids' (Dad's) which seem to enjoy it even more.

Please do come and visit us again soon - we are continually changing and adding new items to the museum - so next time you visit I hope it will be different again.

Many thanks
Katie
