Description: This is an informal cafe in the centre of town. For visitors and residents requiring an imaginative, inexpensive, fast yet freshly-made sandwich/baguette meal, this is just perfect. Lamb and mint, bacon and brie, prawns in Marie Rose sauce, sausage, bacon and egg - the selections are wonderfully thought through. Panini, salad bowls, vegetarian - it's all here. Mustapha is a master. I can't recommend it highly enough. And £3 is about the top price.

I am often in town on my own and this is a great little cafe. Mustafa is always very friendly and welcoming. He makes the best bacon and egg baguettes in town!

“A hidden jewel”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

Mustapha is the most polite, welcoming man. He works very hard and always with a smile for everyone.
The food is always excellent. From sandwiches to baguettes, salads and filled jacket potatoes. The prices are very reasonable.Whenever we go to Stratford we always eat there.
Can't praise Fresh Baguette Bar highly enough.
Mustapha, you're the best !!

“Easter Sunday the hunt for breakfast in Stratford”
Reviewed 31 March 2013 via mobile

My fiancee' and I was on the hunt this Easter Sunday for breakfast and with so many places to eat in Stratford Upon Avon we decided to visit the Baguette Bar. When we went in there was nobody about but within a flash a gentlemen turned up from upstairs. He was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome, and dealt with our order very swiftly. I had the bacon, egg and sausage baguette, while my future wife had brie, bacon and fresh tomato baguette. Both were very tasty and superb value for money, so therefore we definitely recommend this place for breakfast. So if you are struggling to find somewhere give this place a try and see for yourself.
Shame we couldn't stay around till lunch because the baguette's and fillings on offer looked so yummy too :-)

“What a treat”
Reviewed 11 June 2012

Having just arrived in Stratford after a long drive (and a long flight from home in Hong Kong), we were strolling around the middle of town thinking food rather than culture. We passed by about a dozen menus, all enticing, but all too grand for our purposes. We didn't need a full meal with dinner only a few hours away. But we'd had nothing since breakfast. And then we found Fresh Baguette Bar. It looked just right. Little did we expect it to be one of the top treats of our stay. It's a very modest-looking establishment, especially considering its prime location. We dove in. What an extensive menu, and so much imagination. At least sixty choices of fillings for freshly-made baguettes, baps, sandwiches paninis and baked potato. And salads, with choices of prawn, smoked salmon, chicken tikka and so on and on. There's a vegetarian selection too. Main menu interesting options include lamb & mint, bacon & brie, beef & sweet chili sauce, sausage, bacon & fried egg, prawns in Marie Rose sauce. Doesn't it sound scrumptious? Top price on the menu is around £3. Even better, right?
I won't tell you what we had, only to say it was the best I've ever had. Freshly-cooked, and engineered precisely to fit and fill my fresh-baked baguette. Simply superb. Our host Mustapha is a marvel. He really, really knows his stuff. It became clear during our meal that the local population in Stratford thinks so too.
