“Perfect base for exploring a magical setting!”
Reviewed 13 December 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We all had a lovely weekend at this cosy cottage. After a lovely welcome and tour of home we were left to settle in, the kitchen was a great setting for everyone to gather and chill out, and all the bedrooms had everything we needed. The bed in the main room was soooo comfy and I am a bit choosy of my mattresses but this was great!

The whole experience certainly beats a hotel for this celebration and will be recommending this place to friends and family!

“Fabulous - Home from home”
Reviewed 11 December 2013 for a stay in November 2013

My 4 friends & I stayed at 4 College Lane for my birthday weekend at the end of November, and we had a great time.
We received a really warm welcom from Claire on our arrival who was very accommodating with our arrival plans on the Friday evening, and departure on Sunday.
The house itself is fabulous! Its within a 10 minute walk of the town centre, Holy Trinity church is located at the end of the road, and the house itself had everything we needed.
As well as leaving us milk, bread, biscuits and tea and coffee, Claire also kindly left us a bottle of wine and chocolates, which was very thoughful.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is wanting to visit Startford and be close to all the local attractions, as well as being in a home environment.

Many thanks to Karen & Claire for such a lovely stay.

“Unbeatable location with all mod cons”
Reviewed 6 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Travelling with 2 teenagers this cottage had everything we needed, a great location with easy parking. The town with its numerous bars and restaurants are 5 minutes walk away. A decent TV and wifi (essential according to teenagers) and a wonderful bathroom ( the kitchen is excellent too !) in fact the whole cottage is pretty spot on the only niggle was the twin beds weren't terribly comfortable (apparently) the double was fine .

Dear Rosie,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We truly appreciate your feedback. It is our aim to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We are so glad that you found the cottage location and standards excellent. We also appreciate your feedback on the comfort of the two single beds. We too feel they are a little soft and are planning to change them soon.
Kindest regards,

“Home from home”
Reviewed 3 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

This is a lovely property in quiet area near the river and a short walk to the rec and town. Shakespeares grave is at the church at the end of the street. The house is beautiful with all mod cons yet quaint. There are two good sized bedrooms one with a very comfortable double bed. The back bedroom has two single beds although they are very soft n uncomfortable. It's a pity as everything is so good otherwise.

“Very Good Choice”
Reviewed 14 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We were a party of 2 couples and a 3 month old baby. This rental property is perfectly located as its only a very short walk to the main part of town and all of its sights, shops & restaurants, etc. There was always a space to park right outside the property and they gave us a parking permit when we arrived so the parking doesn't cost any extra. The house itself was absolutely spotless and full of everything that you could possibly need. We just wish that we could have stayed longer. They had purchased a new travel cot for us to use for the baby as well as other nice touches like a bit of milk and bread, free WiFi etc. all ready and waiting for us which was very much appreciated.

The lovely home is in tip top shape with almost everything new. It is located a short walk from city centre and the Shakespeare theatres. The property manager was wonderful and made sure that all was right with us, our friends, and everything inside. She also gave us tips of where to eat etc. We would recommend this beautiful home to anyone!! WE LOVED IT!!

“Lovely, comfy and great location”
Reviewed 30 May 2013 for a stay in February 2013

Beautiful little house with plenty of room for mother, father, toddler and grandmother. Easy walking distance from the theatres and shops of Stratford, and a even a pretty, if longer walk to Anne Hathaway's Cottage. It was as enjoyable to stay in as go out, as there was plenty of space to relax while our daughter had her afternoon nap. Please note, however, that the stairs to the bedrooms are a bit narrow and steep, and no stair gates - it wasn't a problem for us, but could be for others with toddlers or mobility problems.
