Brilliant as always. The place is pointlessly clean, nicely furnished and very well appointed. It is conveniently situated for everything that Stratford has to offer.

As a disabled person there are few problems, one small step with plenty to hold on to!

We love it.

Patricia

“Great value cottage in central location. ”

We did have a couple of issues but we'd definitely book here again.
The cottage was bigger than anticipated- especially the kitchen which is equipped with everything you could need.

The wifi for us was a big plus- it was faster than what we've got at home! You also get a parking permit which is a big help if you drive there. We didn't use the car at all as the cottage is located in the city centre so you can just walk everywhere.

Big TV, comfy couches and generally a great cottage done to a high spec.
The location couldn't be better- few minutes walk to the high street but on a quiet road.
We stayed here over Christmas and there was a tree with decorations which was a lovely touch.
There are 2 bedrooms- the main one has a small wet room and double bed; the second has 2 single beds. There's also a shared bathroom with bath and shower.
The main bedroom is big with lots of cupboard space and has a door leading to an outside courtyard which is great.

There is a communal hallway you go through to get to the front door of the cottage. The only problems were that there is little sound insulation between the communal hallway and the cottage, which means when the neighbours got home/ went out you could hear them and the main door would slam loudly, so if you're watching TV it's quite disruptive because the lounge shares the wall with the hallway. We got back once to a drunk guy smoking in the hallway which stunk.
Fortunately the bedrooms are at the back and very quiet.

The main bedroom has a small wet room which is perfectly adequate and has a good shower but it would be better off with a normal shower area as the whole floor gets wet and doesn't dry because there's no window or underfloor heating so when you use the loo after the shower's been used, you're on a wet floor.

The shared bathroom is beautifully done- lovely free-standing bath- but we struggled with the shower as the holder didn't keep the shower head up.
Despite the issues I've given 5 stars as its still good value, in a great location and has a fantastic kitchen.

Great location, very well furnished kitchen, really nicely set out living space and very comfortable bed - it was everything my wife and I had hoped for when we booked. A real bonus is the location, we'd never been to Stratford before, so we were both delighted to be in sight of Shakespeare's birthplace and a two minute walk to the town centre, but away from all the noise.

The provision of a parking permit for the on-street parking is excellent as well - no additional expense, but more importantly, you can park the car and forget about - no worries about topping up meters etc. I'd happily recommend this apartment to anyone - great place to stay!

“Very nice alternative to hotels, esspecially for families”
Reviewed 23 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

I wanted to get a feel for what it was like living in Stratford Upon Avon, instead of just visiting, so I booked a holiday rental. The Globe House has many of the charming architectural remnants of the Shakespeare period, with old beams etc., but has been renovated completely. It is a modest dwelling on a modest street, but nicely done up and maintained, with all the amenities of a home, and in good taste. Very clean, and practical. As well, it is 2 streets from one of the main streets, with all the shops and literally across the street, from the Shakespeare's birthplace trust. This rental has two bedrooms - a main with a large bed, and a second room, with two twin beds. The hostess - Lisa, who is very nice, and easily contacted, has furnished the place with games and toys for kids as well, which is a really nice thought. There is a full kitchen, and 2 baths, including a beautiful claw foot bathtub, plus the showers. There is also a lovely patio, with chairs and a table to enjoy sitting outside in good weather. A giant flat screen TV in the living-room, with plenty of channels, and a DVD player - much appreciated. The place is fully furnished, with pots, pans, extra linens, etc. My bed was confortable, the rooms cheerful and tasteful, and it really felt like a home, away from home. Plenty of light, with lovely skylights too, and a washing machine, which is greatly appreciated by someone on the road for a month. Really, a nice place, and the host has worked hard to make it a pleasant, and perfectly functioning, home away from home. Great for families with kids too, or 2 couples who want to share expenses. Thanks Lisa!

“Great accommodation, ideally situated.”

Stayed at Globe House for 3 nights with my sister and mum. Mum is disabled so the ground floor accommodation was perfect for her and her wheelchair, electric scooter etc. The accommodation is situated within a few minutes walk to all the shops and amenities so great for anyone with mobility issues (or if you don't want to use the car!).
The accommodation is modern inside, tastefully decorated and has everything you need - lovely and bright with french doors leading out from the lounge and bedroom to a small outside decking area - we had fantastic weather so sat outside to eat breakfast and enjoyed a glass of wine before going out in the evening. Stratford itself offered everything from shopping, cafes, pubs and restaurants or you can enjoy sitting by the river and just relaxing - all in all a very enjoyable few days.
