Hamlet House Bed and Breakfast
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 26 July 2009

The Hamlet House is on Grove Road, which seems to be made up of nothing but B&Bs. But what distinguished this place to us was the hospitality and friendliness of its owners Paul and Yvonne. Internet access was good and, although we didn't use them, they had free bicycles you could take around town. The breakfasts were outstanding as well. I do agree with a previous reviewer that, because the rooms are on the small side, you might feel a little cramped during a long stay. We were there for two nights, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Very suitable for my brief overnight stay. Room and bathroom were small but clean and attractively presented. Cheerful, friendly host and a magnifcent breakfast. Quiet area and convenient location particularly for the walk to Ann Hathaway's cottage with the commencement of the path located just up the road. Lovely park opposite.
Recommend for shortish stays as it could be a be cramped if one wanted to stay in the room for long periods.

Hamlet House was wonderful. The breakfast was first rate and the owner, whose name I have now forgotten was friendly and knowledgable. The room was clean and the B & B was perfectly placed for our trip to the theatre and all the major sites. furthermore, the cost was very reasonable. I look forward to returning again!

This B&B is the warmest home that shows the beauty of Avon. Be assured it holds high standards. Our party of four were treated to lovely rooms and all extras plus super duper breakfasts, and all with great care and detail. It was so centrally located to all events, we were delighted. On an evening after dinner it was so comfortable as to just tuck away back home. Hamlet is the best recommecondation for all. Do not miss it.

We've been travelling for over six weeks in china, india and europe and this was the best place we stayed! We were instantly made to feel at home and charmed by the owner from our first contract by phone until we left.
It is located approx 10-15 minutes walk from the sites and train station and a bit further to the bus but managable. Rooms are comfortable. we shared the toilet and shower but never had to wait even when the B&B was fully booked.
Breakfast was filling and delicious.
Internet wifi access is free however you may find it a little unreliable. Alright for browsing and making your next stop arrangments.
This will be where we stay on our next trip to stratford-upon-avon no doubt. If you stay here you will most certainly not be disappointed.

A small B&B very close to town centre, with a big heart, very good breakfasts, a friendly parrot and fish. We has a double room without en-suite bathroom but it was fine using the facilities on the landing.

Very friendly hosts, great breakfasts, room very clean - 2 mins walk to the town centre - 5 mins to RSC. Free private parking behind the property. Stratford is great - lots to do and everyone we met was very friendly and welcoming. We also walked (half hour) to Wildmoor Spa - fantastic place for a relaxation and a treat! - noticed the train station literally 2 mins walk away from the B and B.
