Location: as Stratford has grown this farm is now close to town but maintains a country feel. Follow the foot path through the field to Stratford in 10 minutes. Perfectly quiet, romantic and beautiful.
Accommodation: simple tasteful decoration in the bedroom. Unfussy, uncluttered, spotless and comfortable. Like a home from home. Roses and fresh fruit from the garden are a welcome touch. Huge bed in a large room. The bathroom was bigger than most with a stunning view over the gardens.
There is a generous sitting room and dining room which are both beautifully decorated with the owners art collection.
Breakfast: choose from cereals, nuts&seeds, organic yogurts and fresh seasonal fruit from the garden. Cooked breakfast is healthy and uses quality produce. You eat in the dining room underneath a huge chandelier, over looking views across the fields to Stratford. The table is laid with the owners eclectic mix of crockery and feels very homely.
Good to know: cash or cheque no card facility. Wifi downstairs. Parking. Separate guest entrance.
The owners are accommodating warm & welcoming. I recommend highly and will stay again the next time we visit family in the area.
