“Wonderful B&B”
Reviewed 17 November 2013

We recently spent two nights here. We were very impressed with the welcome we received and the size and comfort of our room. We were in the Terrace room which has a sun room that over looks a beautifully taken care of garden. The owners who had bought the business were extremely friendly and helpful. Finding out I was an engineer they recommended the MAD museum which has lots of kinetic art. The tea room they recommended was fantastic. The breakfast options were wonderful and delicious. The location can't be beat. Just a short walk to the RSC and the town center. It was really great staying with enthusiastic, gracious and accommodating hosts. . It is truly deserving of it's 5 star rating.

We stayed in the Garden suite for a couple of nights and everything was perfect: from the warm welcome from Tony to Royd's fabulous breakfast. The room was beautifully decorated with everything you could wish for already thought of. We really appreciated being able to relax in our own conservatory after a walking tour of Stratford-upon-Avon. The ideal location meant we were only a very short walk away from the theatre, restaurants and shops.

Like many of us lucky enough to have found Cherry Trees we know we will be returning.

Paul and Rosie

Room Tip: The Garden Suite is fabulous.

Being fortunate enough to have tickets for Richard II / David Tennant we decided we would also go a little more selective in our B&B choice, and so set upon Cherry Trees for its write-ups, appearance and location.

What an excellent decision that was!

This is how really good B&Bs should be. A well proportioned, expansive room, with an 'en-suite' conservatory no less ( as well as the more usual en-suite). Fresh tea, home made cake (a moist and delicious lemon polenta cake with cherry inclusions) on arrival. Top quality linen, toiletries and a really comfortable bed. And a 'black out' that really, really worked.

Breakfast lived up to expectations ( and write ups). The home made granola is wonderful. The full english fry-up one of the best I've ever had. And thick doorstep toast made with real bread (not clammy chorleywood process mass produced carpet) was just made for the butter and marmalade.

And all of this in a central location, just 5 mins walk (over the bridge / river) to the theatre.

We see from the writeups below that they have many returning visitors. We can understand why.

We shall be back.

Stayed at Cherry Trees for two nights in the Garden Room. The accomodation was luxurious and had everything you could ask for - including a small fridge to keep the wine chilled. Breakfast was first class, and Tony and Royd were the perfect hosts. The Garden room looks out onto a small but beautiful garden with water feature and Cherry Trees is a wonderful oasis of calm yet less than 5 minutes stroll to the centre of town and the theatre. Would definitely stay there again - worth every penny.

This was out third stay at Cherry Trees and it was just as good as ever. We attend a bridge tournament every autumn in Stratford on Avon and Cherry Trees is in the perfect location as it is only five minutes walk to the huge impersonal hotel where the tournament is held.

Tony and Royd are the perfect hosts and seem to think of everything to make Cherry Trees such a gem of a place. Breakfast is superb, beautifully cooked and expertly served. The beds are so comfortable and every little detail has been thought of.

We have already booked for next year!

We chose Cherry Trees as it had such impressive reviews. We were only staying one night but I wish it had been more though we certainly will be back! The Tiffany room was lovely and the breakfast kept us going all day. A Chinese friend joined us for breakfast and was most impressed. Our hosts made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

Room Tip: Tiffany suite was beautiful with meticulous attention to detail - we loved the round window!
