We have just got back from our stay at the Avonlea B & B and can't praise the place enough. From the friendly greeting to the spacious well decorated room and a bed so big and comfy we didn't want to get out of it! Having said that if we had stayed in bed we would have missed out on the gorgeous cooked to order breakfast. Plenty of tea and toast and home made jam and marmalades plus fruit yoghurt porridge to go along with a full English,Close to the town centre too this ticks all the boxes and we would definitely stay here again.

My first visit to Avonlea and what a lovely stay. Rob and Calre were so helpful in making the stay as pleasant as possible. Lovely spacious room and wonderful breakfast. Nice little touches such as gluten free bread and sausages as well as a bottle of water in the room really added to the enjoyment. Already looking forward to my next visit to the Avonlea in May.

Our second trip to Avonlea and we were not disappointed. Friendly and helpful hosts, comfortable room and good breakfast. The only downside ? They are full up when we next plan to visit the theatre in Stratford!

An extremely pleasant place to stay. A nice short walk from the river, theatre and town centre. We were met with a warm welcome upon arrival and were given various tourist brochures with an explanation of all the discounts on offer. The breakfast room was quiet and relaxed with plentiful coffee, an excellent full cooked breakfast plus fruit and a choice of jams and spreads. Room 3 was at the rear away from the road so was very quiet at night. The only noise I heard was the occasional sound of swans on the river which I found quite romantic! Parking was easily available at this time of year at the front of the house - it might be busier in the summer although I believe there is rear parking as well.

I do agree with other reviewers returning again this year my stay felt as if I was visiting old friends. The lovely owners really care about every detail even down to Yummy biscuits to have with the plentiful supply of tea and coffee in your room. I have had to go twice in 3 weeks as I was doing a course nearby having previously stayed last year for the same reason.
The location is great just a short walk to the centre of Stratford on Avon with the wonderful Theatre and shops and restaurants. I stayed last year in Room 3 and on the first occasion this year which overllooks the rear and is really quiet. My second visit I was in room 5 at the front which I was expecting to be a bit noisy but wasn't. Both rooms had lovely comfy beds and good facilities. Being able to park either on the front or to the rear is also a real bonus.

Room Tip: Room 3 or Room 5 I have tried so far!!
