It was out first visit to Stratford-upon-Avon and staying at Avonpark House made it really enjoyable. We arrived late on Friday night (due to a delayed coach) and we had a nice welcome from Bill. Our room was spotless and beautiful and most importantly warm (it was December). The shower room was lovely, I really looked forward to my morning shower - (nice showergel was also provided!) and there was a little fan heater in the shower room too - such a nice little luxury on a cold morning! Our breakfast was delicious in the morning and the staff were warm and friendly and it was nice that Bill took an interest in our plans for the day ahead and gave us tips about the town. The hotel was very peaceful and quiet and it was within in easy walking distance to the town centre and plenty of little pubs and restaurants - not to mention Shakespeare's birthplace. It was very reasonably priced and we would not hesitate to stay here again, in fact I'm going to recommend it to my parents when they visit Stratford-upon-Avon. Thank you Bill and CIta for a very nice stay and we hope to visit again.
