We popped over here for a pre-theatre meal. It's a cute place; the pub area is nicer to sit and eat in compared to the restaurant at the back. Food was typical pub fare and just about alright, but very reasonably priced. Location is convenient, barely 100 metres down from the Swan Theatre.

We visited The Black Swan aka Dirty Duck one lunchtime in February after an enjoyable guide led walking tour of Shakespeare's Stratford.

The food was well prepared, tasty and very reasonably priced.

The Restaurant/Public House has a lovely riverside location - on the Avon near to the RSC - and had attentive helpful staff and was the sort of watering hole with character visitors to these locations are always on the look out for.

It had been recommended by our guide and one bar was crammed with pictures of thespians who had performed in the local theatres with a welcome to the pub given by Judie Dench !

We really enjoyed it here and think you would to.

We went to the dirty Duck for lunch. The sun was shining and many were enjoying the terrace which is a real sun trap. We had a table inside in the bay window which overlooked the river. The menu was a typical pub type with both hot food and sandwiches, Panini's etc. Service was good and atmosphere was warm and friendly. A good spot!

Stopped off here on a day trip to Stratford on Avon good choice the food was very good but for a public house it had no beer when we visited everything was being changed so only scored four in my rating.

Met up with a friend and her family in Stratford, decided we were going to have lunch, we usually visit the Red Lion but they were having kitchen troubles so decided to look elsewhere, my friend found the Dirty Duck online and we decide to give it a try ! So glad we did, we arrived at 12 and i think we were the first, shown to a table, there was 7 of us, 2 adults and 5 children. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful, good choice on the menu, nice to see the childrens menu didnt just consist of fish fingers and chips ! Food was really nice, arrived quickly, would recommend and would like to visit again the next time we are in Stratford
