“Lovely meal”
Reviewed 25 March 2014 via mobile

Great place for food and very comfortable inside, they did run out of roast potatoes though... On a Sunday?! Price is very reasonable.

“Lovely old pub”
Reviewed 20 March 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday afternoon at the Dirty Duck. It's a lovely place to have a few drinks if the weather is nice and you manage to get a seat on the patio. Very close to the river, this really is a lovely atmospheric place to relax. My boyfriend enjoyed a few pints of the Dirty Mallard and would love to be able to buy it in bottles so he could take it away with him :) We had some potato wedges to snack on which were very tasty. Would definitely visit again.

“Old atmospheric pub”
Reviewed 12 March 2014

This pub is a must on every visit to Stratford Upon Avon. At lunchtime we sat outside on the patio watching the river and the world go by eating well priced pulled pork with melted cheese on ciabatta and chips enjoying well kept lager and cider. At night the atmosphere changes especially when the actors and actresses from the theatres come in - fascinating to watch.

“Good location next to river and theatre”
Reviewed 12 March 2014

We popped over here for a pre-theatre meal. It's a cute place; the pub area is nicer to sit and eat in compared to the restaurant at the back. Food was typical pub fare and just about alright, but very reasonably priced. Location is convenient, barely 100 metres down from the Swan Theatre.

“Worth your patronage”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

We visited The Black Swan aka Dirty Duck one lunchtime in February after an enjoyable guide led walking tour of Shakespeare's Stratford.

The food was well prepared, tasty and very reasonably priced.

The Restaurant/Public House has a lovely riverside location - on the Avon near to the RSC - and had attentive helpful staff and was the sort of watering hole with character visitors to these locations are always on the look out for.

It had been recommended by our guide and one bar was crammed with pictures of thespians who had performed in the local theatres with a welcome to the pub given by Judie Dench !

We really enjoyed it here and think you would to.
