Description: Welcome to Thai Kingdom, the home of traditional Thai food in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. We are a family owned restaurant, established in 1992 centrally located, within minutes walk from the theatres. We pride ourselves on using fresh, authentic produce to create our popular Thai dishes. Our menu comprises of a wide variety of cuisine from all over Thailand. Whether you like coconut milk based curries from the south or Chinese influenced noodle dishes from the north, we are confident you will find something to suit your taste. Our private dining room is ideal for tour groups, parties, business functions, etc. Or why not book the whole restaurant for a very unique wedding reception! Our beautifully carved fruit and vegetables make stunning table decorations and we can organise Thai music or dancing to make your special day one to really remember! Please contact us to discuss your requirements, we will be happy to assist you in organising your perfect event. During the summer months we open our courtyard garden; a tranquil little oasis, tucked away from the hustle and busy of the town. Enjoy a cool iced Thai tea amongst the bamboos, vegetables and herbs, that our chefs tender too.

“Highly Recommended”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2013

Great location only five minutes from the RSC. Friendly welcome in a relaxed atmosphere followed by our choice of two reasonably hot dishes chosen from the chef's recommendations, both dishes retained the taste of the numerous spices used and for once the rice was well cooked. Having spent 20 years in Asia it always surprises me that the quality of rice served in most Asian restaurants in the UK is of an incredibly poor standard. Reasonably priced I would definitely return.

“Good food, good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 September 2013

Enjoyed our dinner here. We didn't think we could manage a set menu, but in hindsight it would have been a better/cheaper option.

Staff were very attentive, but after 40 minutes we were the only diners !

We chose it because on a rainy night it was opposite our hotel, but it's certainly worth a visit.

“Worth a Visit!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2013

Set two course lunch, Stg 11.99 . Pros- signature Thom Yum soup , good portion, by the end you realise the recipe has not been totally dumbed down to meet perceived western tastes - good after flavours. Red curry, pork, again good portion size, very tasty in spicy curry sauce- not much chilli, but enhanced with sliced hot peppers readily provided on request. Restaurant fairly full but good swift service. Cons - satay sauce sweet and not much to do with peanuts. Big disappointment Pad Thai noodles incredibly sweet , half left even after considerable vinegar addition to try to cut through the sugar. Overall value for money- cannot find better in Stratford so will go again.

“Now I Remember”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 September 2013

Being local, I wondered why we hadn't been to the Thai Kingdom in years, and having a yearning for Thai food - blame it on Rick Stein - we booked ourselves in.
Greeted by some rather long faced Thai waitress who showed us to our table, and another waitress took over with the order, serving etc.. This waitress could not have been more charming, even bowing gracefully every time she left the table. I had Thai fish cakes to start, my wife having the mixed starter (which included fish cakes). The fish cakes were a both surprise and disappointment. Four fish cakes the thickness of two £1 coins had little evidence of fish in them and the texture was very rubbery, more like eating tofu. The chicken on a skewer in my wife's starter was really tasty.
We had two different main courses and shared, though frankly we should have ordered three mains since the portions were somewhat on the small side.
It was then I remembered why we hadn't been for a long while, and probably will leave it another ten years before we go again.
