“Could be better”

Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff and then shown to our room. The room was very basic and décor was outdated but for the price we paid for the room we didn't expect 5 star luxury. There were tea and coffee facilities which were welcoming. The biggest concern for me was that I was unable to use my hair straighteners in front of the mirror and the plug socket was so far away from the mirror that the cord was unable to stretch to the mirror which I thought was very odd, we had to ask to borrow an extension lead to overcome this obstacle! It is in a very central location which is very handy and there is free car parking behind the b&b too. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and plentiful. Overall a pleasant stay but you get for what you pay for.

When we arrived we liked the bungalow style room behind the inn . The room however smelt very musty , double bedspread had a bloodstain on quilt cover , room was old and needed a clean and new lick of paint !! Wrote hello on base of tv stand in the dust . Bathroom had black mold on base and alongside shower screen . Had an evening meal in the inn as we thought it may be better than room . Extremely disappointed with my lasagne that came out a yukky brown colour not what I was expecting at all !!! Though the crinkly chips were nice . Breakfast in the morning was probably the best part of this stay . No choice but a full English with orange juice and a pot of tea or coffee and toast . I know it is not an expensive hotel but I do expect it to be clean and I stayed in a travel lodge the night before for only 27.00 for the room and it was extremely clean so very disappointed !!!

Ok so this is a bed and breakfast above a pub and they are not charging the earth when you consider that it is in Warwick centre. Therefore whilst you should expect certain standards you are not going to get a five star luxury hotel.
Good points
Rooms were clean
Staff were friendly and good with our two small boys, remembering their names and looking after their breakfasts etc
Breakfast was great- fantastic sausages !

Bad points
Car parking is poor
Rooms are dated and bathrooms are tiny
Showers have such a poor flow they are not worth using
Heating was on in our room full blast, it was one of the hottest days so far this year and our room therefore resembled a sauna ! Unfortunately the valve had broken and the staff couldn't/wouldn't do anything. In the end my Brother a plumber borrowed tools from a pub regular and managed to switch it off but by this time it was 11pm at night and the room was roasting. This didn't bode well for two small boys trying to sleep and spoilt what would have been a good stay

After driving around for quite a while because the car park was full and local roads have mostly double yellow lines, I eventually found a parking space. I then checked in, was shown to my room, dumped my bags and returned to the bar. By this time it was 20.05 latest but when I asked about eating, I was told that they stop serving at 20.00 so I would have to eat elsewhere. Fortunately there was another pub along the road called the Kings Head that did provide good food and nice wines at very reasonable prices.
When I did return to my room I realised that the furnishings consisted of a very small round table that supported the coffee making facilities and a very small wardrobe, absolutely nothing else not even a chair. There was a very small WC / shower room and the wash hand basin was in the bedroom beside the bed. I wasn't aware of anything being dirty as other reviewers have suggesed but everything looked very tired and worn out. The bed was quite comfortable except that the pillows were more like cement bags.
Breakfasts were OK but not great and there is little choice other than "full english".
On the second night, I had to "run the gauntlett" on the double yellow lines. I had a brief look at the bar (although after the first night, I wouldn't have eaten there on principle) and it looked totally uninspiring. The only evidence of wines I could see would have been about what could be expected in a transport cafe.
I wouldn't go back there and wouldn't recommend that anyone else goes there.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

Room was fine for a last minute check in. Got told that breakfast was at 7am but at 7am the next morning no one was there the pub was locked up and it was only at 8am that a "friend of the owner" turned up but still couldn't gain access as i needed to be gone by 8 i got told to leave my key in the room and that was it.

Stayed here 1 night decided to book without taking note of reviews how wrong i was.
Booking made with booking.com who should be ashamed to even view this pub as accommodation for visitors to Warwick .Dirty room ,old totally mismatching curtains and dirty bed linen. What looked like blood splatters on walls which were also dirty as was the carpet behind bed filthy Ensuite Shower stopped working half way possibly because using nxt door toilet seat fell off sink shelf coming away from wall no draws or bedside table just wardrobe on Pub itself very tired, dirty unkempt needed a good clean. Ladies toilet disgusting! could go on Warwick is lovely this pub is not.

Room Tip: Do not book this inn there are no quiet rooms car park is outside your door packed with vans cars
