We have just returned from the Tudor Inn. The staff are really wonderful they are so helpful and customer service is their priority. However our room which was on the 2nd Floor room No 7 Jane Seymour Room was up some very steep narrow stairs I am almost 70 years of age and that proved difficult. We got to our room and the door was indeed around 3ft - 4 ft inches high meaning every time we went into the bedroom we were bent double. Inside the room we found that there was no toilet within the room and each time we needed to use the loo we had to go outside the room onto the landing this did prove very inconvenient and upsetting as during the night I need to use the loo. We went to use the shower and the shower was full of mould. We mentioned this to a member of staff and they did a wonderful job of cleaning the shower. The food in the hotel was very good and as I repeat the members of staff do in fact make this hotel.

This hotel is as advertised, with all the quirks and personality of a very old building the floors and walls are wonky and ceilings in some areas low but from the moment we arrived we felt genuinely welcome by warm and friendly staff, the food was great. They accommodated us with an early breakfast. The hotel is well placed in the heart of the town and easy to find history lover's will appreciate the building and its character. The young man that attended to us on arrival and through dinner was a credit to the establishment.

Just set your expectations and you'll love it. It's not the Hilton, but it is historic.
Warm welcome, good beer and well-filled plates for dinner. Breakfast was served like a pub should be - full plates with unlimited tea and toast.
The rooms and furnishings aren't quite as old as the building, but our four-poster room 8 at the top probably dated from the early 80's. Things have come a long way since then and a decent hot water supply, refreshed carpet and stronger wifi would help.
Needs a good £500,000 spending on the whole place, but it would never make that back at £90 a night.
Pay your money and take your choice - then book a Hilton for the following night and see which you really prefer, I bet you'll be glad you stayed at the Tudor House after all.

Room Tip: Rooms at the top have a very steep staircase. Ask for help if you need it.

We spent a fantastic couple of nights here, bed was clean and very comfortable, rooms weren't overlarge but adequate and matched the age of the property, food was excellent and atmosphere welcoming. May not suit anyone with mobility issues but otherwise a really great place to stay and only a short walk from centre of town.

4 foot high doors, beds that slope so you fall out, no hot water in room to shave, shared bathroom with no where to hang your dressing gown while you shower, a shower cubicle that's so small the tap shuts off when you turn around, head boards that move, breakfast cereal eaten in children's plastic bowls, the cheapest, foul smelling sausages, instant coffee, staff who want to help but work with no oversight by the owner, wifi that doesn't reach the top floor, uninspired bar menu, the list goes on. The beer was nice.

A two night booking was abandoned after one very uncomfortable night. Lost our money and had to book in elsewhere. Never had to do that before but never had such an awful place to stay. The owner has had all day to call me but nothing doing.

The Hotel Inspector could help but so might a little spend and some competent hotel management. I felt for the staff.

This was apparently built 80 years before Henry VIII was born and you can just feel the history! Fabulous place to stay - if only the walls could talk! We paid £75 for a double room B&B. Room had tea & coffee facilities, a nice bathroom, comfortable bed, TV & hairdryer. We were also allowed to start a tab so had drinks and dinner too and then just paid for the lot the next morning. Nice, reasonably priced menu and the breakfast was impressive. Seating is available both at the front and in a lovely beer garden out the back.

Didnt know what to expect with this place from the bad reviews on here but had an open mind due to the age of the building.I was pleasantly surprised.I would recommend it on the decor alone as i love to photograph old and quirky buildings.there is even a part of the original wattle walls of the building exposed under some glass in one part of the bar.The suits of armour and weapons just add to the charm of the place. The room was clean and spacious.the bathroom was spotless and there was a good selection of tea coffee and some biscuits in the room.Food was great as was the breakfast and the staff were wonderful.Jess-the girl who welcomed me and also served me in the bar later in the evening was very helpful and great to talk to, and the young lad who served me dinner was very courteous and took great pride in his work.I would recommend to anyone who wants to add a little extra experience to their stay in warwick,to stay here. Its one of the most interesting places ive ever stayed. wifi was ok and there was also a flat screen tv
