A truly delightful garden offering peace and tranquility against a dramatic back drop of warwick castle.
Informal, quiet, unhurried, interesting for any garden lover

This is a true English cottage garden, tranquility far from the madding crowd that invades the castle next door! A short amble down Mill Lane with superb Medieval buildings brings you to the Mill Cottage the river and the remnants of the old bridge and the ancient meadows on the opposite side.
Thankfully there were only a few people visiting so we were able to take advantage of some of the benches and seats positioned to take in the garden, flowers and the river flowing past to the nearby castle.
A must do on a visit to Warwick and well worth the £2 entrance fee....

Went on the 1100th anniversary of Warwick . The gardens were pristine and the river setting with the Castle above were probably unique . Not too large for walking disabled with disabled parking at the entrance . Very photogenic .

This is a very special place, and well worth a visit. If fact several visits as there's always something different to see at different times of the year. Even though the garden is tiny it takes an age to amble the short distance down to the river as there's so much to see. Walk slowly in anticipation of the wonderful view of the river Avon and the imposing beauty of Warwick Castle bearing down on you. For an entrance fee of only £2 this is one of the great and lesser well known places in Warwick. The plants for sale are always a good buy too.
Having just read the previous review, co incidentally I was a witness to the whole event and was shocked at how badly the reviewer behaved. There were a number of visitors as it was a sunny Sunday. My mother waited quite some time to take a photo but gave up in the people in question just never moved. I was stunned to hear them ask for a refund on exit where he was extremely rude. I for one am glad they're not welcome back!
