“Comfortable motel style accommodation”

We stayed here only 1 night to mainly tour Warwick Castle. Clean motel style family room with car parking and we were able to leave the car on check out day and walk to the castle (5 mins) saving on car parking fees. Take care with the narrow car entrance through an arch. Shower pressure was low. Breakfast was great with a very friendly and attentive lady serving. Only issue was wifi didn't work in our room and with 2 teens this was an issue- wifi was fine in the breakfast room.

We stayed for three nights of our two week driving vacation and really enjoyed the Four Penny. They immediately make you feel welcome and provide a clean, comfortable and well appointed room. Because they are on a side street, the location is also quiet. Breakfast is very good and served by a wonderful lady who really makes you feel special and an honored guest in her kitchen. We look forward to booking again on our next trip. The Four Penny is what every traveler wants in this market- a clean, comfortable room at a fair price,... and a friendly pub downstairs.

We stayed at the Old Fourpenny Shop Hotel for a long weekend with our little 9 week old little girl. The hotel is well positioned to explore Warwick Castle and town, a mere 5 minute walk.
Our room was in the main building and although we had to negotiate the stairs with the car seat the room was well worth it. Quiet, and spacious enough for our pop up cot. Clean and comfy bed. Bathroom really spacious too!
The breakfast was lovely cooked and we enjoyed it every morning and the staff were lovely and attentive!
Would come back and recommed to friends and family visiting Warwick

My partner and I stayed on a Saturday night, having spent the day exploring Warwick Castle. The hotel is well positioned for exploring Warwick town centre by foot, and we were particularly impressed with the customer service, the warm, relaxing bar, and the cooked-to-order breakfast. The room was clean, and we both enjoyed a comfortable night's sleep. The hotel certainly fit the bill for us, and we will be recommending it to any friends and family planning on visiting the area.

I booked for eight adults and five small children, aged from two to seven years. The rooms were clean and quite spacious and the staff were all very friendly and helpful- they obviously enjoyed working there. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was first class and the staff organised a time and a long table so we could all eat together, virtually in private! The location is within easy walking distance of the town and I booked a meal at Merchants, which was also very good and complemented our stay at this lovely little hotel. The Indian restaurant at the end of the road was also a very good place to eat.Be careful driving into the car park since it is quite a narrow entrance.

Room Tip: We stayed in Rooms 3,4, 9 ,10 and 12 and all were good.

I stayed there 2 nights. I found the room clean, correctly appointed with no-thrill, functioning furnitures and bathroom. On the 2nd floor, the room allowed for quiet nights.

The hotel is, more or less, 5 minutes away, on foot, from the town centre.

We stayed here as we wanted to visit Warwick castle and had a fresh weekends two night voucher for a stay in a historic town.
Location is just a 5 min walk from the town, and about 15 from the castle. The castle is a great day out and we had a lovely meal at a place in town called merchants.
Having read the other reviews it appears that we may have drawn the short straw with the room as ours was a tiny, dark, basic room in the main building above the pub (room 5 I believe), the rooms out the back looked nicer but having said this breakfast was good, staff were friendly and the place was clean.
It is a very narrow entrance to the car park!
