Description: Micatto Cusina Aperta opened in October 2012 in the heart of historic Warwick. "Cusina Aperta" means ”open kitchen”, it is a promise of quality food and the ability to see your food getting prepared by our team of chefs. Creative Director Mr Ahmadi has managed to capture an industrial feel, taking inspiration from New York's Soho area. The white shattered tiles, vintage lighting and mustard yellow leather sofas has given Micatto a contemporary and unique look as well as a comfortable feel. We are sourcing our ingredients from both local and Italian suppliers, some of which are imported specifically for our use. All of our pasta is made in house on a daily basis and we are creating amazing dishes, sometimes using the most simplest of ingredients. Executive chef Miss Elena Brannstrom used her knowledge in regional Italian cuisine, taking inspiration from both Asia, Middle East and Europe, using “The Italian Academy of Cuisine" as a guideline.

This Italian type tapas bar is different and worth a try if you are prepared to pay a lot for smaller than average tapas, lots of variety (the stuffed pig's trotter was rather disapointing though), the service was good but we left feeling we had not had value for the rather lof of money paid. It is a place that I guarantee will attract many people but a large percentage will not return because they simply did not feel satisfied.

Dinner for two. Unusual menu... Italian Tapas. Good atmosphere, good food, good service. A little expensive, but worth the money. Good variety on the menu for meat-aholics, vegetarians and everyone in-between Think it would be a great place for a group dinner.

We decided to give Micatto a try as it looked so inviting from the outside. We were not disappointed! It is not like the normal Italian restaurant in the uk offering the boring pizza and pasta choices. The small tapas style dishes give you a taste of different regions of the country and every dish was delicious. We visited with our children aged 8 and 12 who couldn't get enough of the oxtail tortellini, meats and chicken thighs in romesco sauce,The desserts are very moreish,I had the chocolate mousse, yum. If you are looking for somewhere to go with good food and a relaxed atmosphere with family or friends then this is it.The food is not cheap with prices around £5 per dish but it is great value as the tapas are made with quality ingredients .This is on our places to go back to list..and soon!

A really memorable meal in an interesting and innovatively designed space!

Please go and support a brilliant team delivering fabulous food....

Highlights - fab dipping oil, the asparagus risotto, the chicken thigh, goats cheese stuffed courgette flower...... Then finished with a tiramisu served in individual glasses.

We will be back!!

My wife and I were visiting Warwick during a mini round tour of some old haunts when we spotted Micatto and decided to give it a try. It is certainly not your usual Italian restaurant and initially we were a bit confused by the tapas-type menu (as were some other couples who were obviously first-timers like us). However, we soon got the hang of it and as the dishes began to arrive, we knew that we had made the right choice. Lovely food made from quality ingredients, friendly and efficient service, good atmosphere and decent house wine - in other words, a very satisfying evening. We went on a Tuesday evening so it was not too busy, but I can imagine that it would be advisable to book at the weekend if you want to be sure of a table.
