We stayed at this Hotel for 2 nights in August.
Location: On a busy main road in the centre of the town, though we did not notice any particular noise. An entrance to Warwick Castle is less than 5 minutes stroll, and the Lycester Hospital Museum less than 2 mins. There are a variety of Pubs, bars and restaurants within a 5 minute stroll.
Room: We were given a room at the back of the hotel, overlooking the car park. There was a partial view of the castle. The room was clean and comfortable, and contained a comfortable double bed, desk and chair and adequate storage space. There was a hair dryer in the desk drawer. There wasn't a minibar, but instead a 'tuck box' containing soft drinks and snacks. Flat screen TV on the wall. The bathroom was smallish, but contained everything necessary.

Breakfast: The breakfast menu included all the hot favourites as well as fruit, cereals and yoghurts. The hot options were well cooked, to order.

Staff: All the staff that we came in contact with were lovely - cheerful, friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel - you might hear the occaisional peacock, but not the traffi...

Looking for an overnight stay for a visit to Warwick Castle, then the Warwick Arms is ideally located a short walk away from the main gates. The accomodation was adequate, clean, and the staff were generally very friendly and helpful. Any more than a single night's stay may be
more of a chore. The rooms would benefits from freshening up. The tables in the dining room at breakfast all required packing to stop them wobbling. Some may say that added to the
charactor of the place others may say lack of attention to detail. On the subject of breakfast the food was good value. The staff were very helpful despite "Mark" who appeared to be the head waiter flapping as the tables filled up. He tried to do everything himself rather than delegate. The other staff were more than capable of seeing to the tables. Chill out!
The other downside of a town centre hotel was the nightmare of parking. Only 12 spaces for 40
rooms. Do not try to park there. Residents were just driving in and blocking others exit. But apart from these minor niggles My wife and I enjoyed our stay, and would stay again being a little more prepared on what to expect.

I stayed here for one night when going to a concert In the local area. I ll be honest for what I wanted its quite hard to fault. I stayed in a compact double. When I booked the room the receptionist informed me that the bathrooms were smaller (hence the compact) and she wasn't lying, however this didn't bother me and the room itself was clean and well presented. All the staff I came across were polite and very helpful, breakfast was included in the room price and was cooked to order with a fair selection on the menu. Bad points: parking is limited but for its central location and all the good points it's worth the sacrifice If your staying in Warwick stay here!

Clearly, somebody has worked hard to update the Warwick Arms from an old building with rickety floorboards and stairs into something that is more appealing to modern tastes - and most of it works well enough. The sofas and chairs in the downstairs lobby area are comfortable and inviting (but the chairs in the dining room are really uncomfortable and the tables look a bit "cheap"!). The bedroom I had was OK - a bit cramped, and the shower room was compact. Toiletries are very basic. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were lumpy. There is no long hanging space (e.g. for a dress) in the wardrobe. Standard of cleanliness was not brilliant - stained grouting around the shower base, and a layer of dust on the lamp on the desk. Also really annoying was the tap of the sink which sprayed a fine mist of water onto my clothes when I was brushing my teeth or washing my hands, and the really low water pressure of the shower.
The food in the restaurant in the evening was fine - but the service was very slap-dash and not all staff members were friendly (but some were absolutely lovely). The cooked breakfast on the first morning was fine - but on the second day I had two poached eggs that looked like shrivelled prunes - overcooked and rubbery - really awful.
There is wi-fi in the downstairs lobby/lounge area (for a charge!) but it was very slow the first evening I was staying - although one of the friendlier members of staff did assist to get me to a better reception spot.

We stayed here for 1 night having stayed in another hotel out of town that my wife had booked.

I wanted to be in the town centre and not have to worry about the car, so this place was perfect.

It is an old coaching house and has all the character in the world with a modern twist.

Clean rooms, good service and a nice breakfast.

Can highly recommend for a Warwick town centre location and is the perfect location for visiting Warwick Castle.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the Castle

My wife and I stayed a night in a double room. The room was modern and clean, although modestly sized. Larger people would have struggled with the shower cubicle, which was very small. There was also a loud buzzing/pumping noise whenever the bathroom light was turned on. This wasn't ideal when we needed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night!
The bed was quite small and very firm - neither I nor my wife slept very well on it. Our room also faced the street, so it got quite noisy early in the morning (there's no double-glazing). Staff were neither friendly nor unfriendly. We weren't asked how everything was when we checked out, which is quite rare these days.
Breakfast service was a little sloppy (we were in a separate room from the main restaurant, and they forgot us), and my poached egg was overcooked and had a bit of shell in it (despite the menu saying that all eggs were cooked soft unless otherwise stated).
Wifi access should really also be free when you're paying £110 for a room in this sort of hotel, but it wasn't (£2 per hour I think).
The location was great, but we won't be going back and can't really recommend it.
