“Three Glorious Nights in Warkwick”
Reviewed 5 January 2014

Stayed with the family, eight in total, at Park Cottage for my mums 70th Birthday, Janet and Stuart were absolutely lovely, nothing was too much trouble, while the rooms were fabulous and spotless.

Everyone had a great time, Park Cottage has to be the best place to stay in Warwick, never had better hosts in any other hotel here or abroad, well done Janet and Stuart, be proud.

We stayed after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and were not disappointed. Janet and Stuart were very welcoming and we had a good old chat with Janet at breakfast. It was my birthday and our room (Elizabeth with the fantastic four poster) was decorated with a tasteful banner on the mirror and birthday confetti on the bedside table as well as little chocolate treats. There was even a candle in my sausage at breakfast and a gift of chocolates as I left! The place is absolutely charming, the owners delightful and attentive and the bedroom combined the quaint glories of Tudor England with modern comfort and convenience. I would love to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who wants a lovely taste of English charm rather than the spacious but cold experience of a modern hotel. Thank you, Janet and Stuart!

Room Tip: Elizabeth is small but totally charming.

Good hot and powerful shower!
Wonderful full English breakfast (with great coffee) sets you up for the day.
Very chatty and helpful hosts.
Great location - 10 minute stroll into town, the castle etc.

We spent a couple of nights here and can't thank Janet and Stuart enough. They made us feel so welcome and were very helpful with good places to go and eat-even getting a discount in one as we were staying here!! Janet has a love off teddy bears as do we-often we would go back to find our teddy bear getting up to mischief with some furry friends!!! We realy enjoyed Warwick and being so close to everything was lovley as we could leave the car behind-free!- and walk.

Thank you Janet & Stuart for making our stay with you a memorable one. We've been here for 5 nights, as part of our Honeymoon/road trip, and stayed in the Frances room. WOW!! Clean, spacious, warm, cozy, comfortable and a 5 minute walk to the town centre or the castle.

The little treats each day left on our pillows and hearty breakfasts set us up nicely for each morning. Both Janet and Stuart more than happy to give advise about Warwick and even offered to drive us to leamington after we had some car troubles; nothing was too much trouble.

We would recommend staying here any day of the week and definitely a 5 star accommodation.

Thanks also for the birthday card, banner and treats, see you again soon . . . . Paul & Cheryl

We found out about park cottage through our in laws who had stayed here some years ago in the elizabeth room which has a four poster.
We were planning on staying for 2 nights to go to cadburys world and then the motorbike show in the nec.
I emailed Janet a few months ago about staying in the the elizabeth room ( all the rooms have names and teddy bears to go with them)
We arrived sunday night where we given a warm welcome and janet explained how old the house was and suggested some places for dinner along with some of the menu's.
When we got in the room janet didnt think the radiator was working so gave us a little heater which was plenty warm enough!! and a lovely pot of tea. Park Cottage is perfect place because warwick has plenty of places to eat and pubs and all within walking distance as it was sunday and the end of the weekend we expected for it to be quiet but no Janet was fully booked. Just goes to show you how amazing this place was. The room itself as i have said has a four poster we thought we would be cold given the age its 14th century but with so many layers on the bed we were actually quite toastie you get given a little sheet to fill out and it asked you what time you would like breakfast and tea coffee ect ( go for the full english its amazing i had poached and my partner had scrambled all lovely ) you also get fruit and juices and cerals and toast it kept us going right till after lunch. The room comes with an ensuite and the sink in the bedroom. Everytime we saw either Janet or Stuart they always asked us how are day was and what we had been up to. I have to say i was really sad to leave and would stay here again in another one or the same one Janet and Stuart are lovely people and this place is more like staying in someones house.

Room Tip: the elizabeth room has a four poster bed.

If you're looking for a taste of Tudor England, you can do no better than stay at the 15 century Park Cottage. It's in a great location for all Warwick's sites, offers good sized rooms and facilities and a very tasty breakfast.
