I decided to take my disabled mum out to eat for mothers day last saturday evening to shere khan star city. Unfortunately, we were publicly humiliated and turned away. The reason being, as you have to wait to be seated, their management list your name on a sheet, and seat you as tables become available. Not always in the logical order customers arrive. Which is fine as we needed a table of 5. After 25 minutes of waiting patiently, I approached them to see how long? I learnt that the manager had crossed off my name on his list by accident which is why we were kept waiting. I enquired why my name wasn't called, why it had been crossed, and why I had got no apology? His reply was not, 'im sorry' but to my shock horror, "no apology, and no table!" Telling us to go away. My name was never going to be called if crossing it out means you have bn given your table. I hv never been treated such unprofessionall. For what was a management oversight. It was rude and clearly out of order. They did not care that I had an elderly mum or children with me. Mistakes are made granted in a busy and stressful environment but how you deal with it determines a professional business of quality. I am a lecturer in the hospitality industry and will use my negative experience of shere khan as a clear example of how not to treat your customers in recession times today.
