This dump does not merit the title of hotel. Credit card machine rejected good cards from each member of our party. Rooms did not appear clean - this is the first hotel anywhere in the world where I felt the need to sleep with my clothers on to avoid contact with the sheets. No breakfast available. Hotel proprietor was watching the porn channel in reception when we returned in the evening!

Staff's command of English was poor so uncertainty set in from the moment I stepped through the reinforced and bolted doubled doors - the garden of England this is not.

Bed linen was clean and the water was hot. Room smelled. The crackling of the plastic mattress cover kept me awake.

Breakfast, though very cheap (£3 extra), consisted of two fried eggs covered in dark-brown oily remnants, three slices of toast, a dish of cold baked beans and a tub of out of date Stork (baking marge) with a thick yellow crust on it. Oh, and a cup of tea with milk substitute.

The room seemed to back onto a large wasteland which was apparently a car park- arguably the hotel's best feature.

The hotel has to be the worst one we have stayed in. It was dreary and dingy and not a pleasant place tp be. The breakfast was really bad with very little on offer. The staff were totally indifferent to guests and could not be understood due to the language barrier. A thoroughly unpleasant experience we will definitely not be repeating again.
