Stayed in Hatters for 5nights. Very friendly hostel...could possibly improve reliability of wifi! There was also a little stubby guy with a peak hat at reception... He was amusing to look at but he has the brain of a cabbage! Would highly recommend staying here as it's engaging and provides a good introduction to the nightlife for anyone looking to move to Brummie...

My partner and I stayed here when the wireless festival was on.
We stayed for four nights. 3/7/14 until the 7/7/14
It was our first time in a British hostel too.
We had a double room with private bathroom.
We didn't spend too much time in the room,as we were out enjoying ourselves.
But I have to say it everything we needed.
The kitchen upstairs was tidy and clean for us to use.
I did request a room with a window which was fulfilled, but on arriving I could see it didn't actually open.
Tom a employee of the hostel, did a fantastic job of hammering away,to get it open, which was good of him.
I also requested some clean towels on the Saturday but I was told their would be a charge which wasn't refundable.
So I kindly declined the offer, although I did find that strange,as on arrival we had towels in our room already.
All in all....it was a pleasant stay.
I would stay again.

Room Tip: The room we stayed in ,backed on to the outside area...which you can hear people chatting etc. If y...

I stayed in 12 mixed dorm for 1 week. Mixed but they have private curtain for each bed. So it was really relaxed.
It seems sometimes big group stays and loudly, but after they left was very quiet. Wi-Fi is available at only common space and dining.

I stayed here one night in July 2014. really clean place, modern in design with an amazing view from the lounge. free brakfast. friendly staff, great city. one of the coolest hostel I've ever been. 10 minutes walk from the citycenter. quiet and safe, cheap and nice. if you happen to be in Birmingham I would highly reccomend it.

Magnificent bedrooms, awesome bathrooms and great location...but no wifi whatsoever.
At the room it was impossible to reach any signal, we had to move to the common room (very welcoming by the way) so as to use whatsapp -let alone watch a film!

Morning breakfast is good; higher quality than expected from a youth hostel.
Una pena lo del wifi, porque x lo demás está genial. Habitaciones totalmente renovadas.

Nice and cheap hostel. Stayed here one night with my mom in November 2013. The room was clean, nice and had really comfortable beds. The staff was nice and helpful. It was a bite hard too find tough. Walking distance to the central shopping area.
