Good:

Room, Very big room, very clean, tided everyday, good good nights sleep each night

Staff: Friendly, helpful, but when we checked out, would have been nice if the young lady on the desk, asked if we had a nice stay, she just said bye!

Bad:

Bar, very loud, men swearing, a bit rough

Stayed here for one night in a family room. The room was exactly as required, two single beds and one double. I can not fault the room and price. Breakfast would have probably been better if it was not self service from bain maries. and it would have been nice to have a pot for the tea rather than keep having to go up and make a small cup. Can not fault any of the staff. The leisure facilitys were a great extra. Well done you all.

Room Tip: I assume all the rooms are the same, ours was excellent so can not offer any advice here.

Friendly staff but the whole place felt run down and in need of a deep clean. Lovely buffet breakfast which was well cooked but left to go cold! The pool was was like a hot bath and again the whole area had a run down feel, mop buckets left in thoroughfares etc. Hopefully the change of name means new people to give the place a facelift. It could be really nice with a bit of effort.

Room Tip: Ask to overlook the gardens as you are away from traffic noise

It was the quality inn and has now just changed its name thankfully not the friendly helpful staff but the menu prices seems to have risen and only a chefs special was a bargain. This hotel seems to attract the contract workers who will stay on their firms cost so the price doesn't matter to them but we ate out.
The bathrooms we have had in the annex have been lovely clean and modern, my only problem is in a morning there are empty drink cans and rubbish left for hours, I think that the night porter or morning cleaners should be responsible as sometimes it is everywhere.

Room Tip: Ask for the annex as the rooms are nice and modern (never stayed in the hotel section)

Stayed with wife and young son. Furniture in all parts of the hotel in need of repair or replacement. Room was really stuffy but the air conditioning was broken with no chance of being fixed. Opened the window but then subjected to terrible traffic noises.

Failed to get any sleep on the second night due to a rowdy wedding reception, which we were not told about at the time of booking. Staff did not seem to care. Asked for a partial refund but were fobbed off and told to send an email.

Male changing rooms at the pool are a disgrace.

Food is adequate but nothing special.

We stay at really expensive five star hotels abroad and in th uk. We stayed here on Sat night as a stop-over in between a family trip to Drayton Manor and Cadbury World. After I booked my son-in law said he had been on trip adviser and said the reviews were really bad. Well I was realy surprised. The Ritz it ain't but it is fine for a short stay. The staff really friendly, the rooms were really clean and the breakfast was of good quality and plentyfull (you could have egg cooked how you wanted them). The leisure centre was ok bot not great. The whole place is in need of a makeover but for a short stay.............no problem.

Room Tip: Try not to get a room at the front it is rally noisy

Our party, 5 adults & 3 children stayed at this hotel last night 26th July 2014. The Staff were all helpful & very polite. Checkin was quick and trouble free for all three rooms. The rooms were very clean with comfy beds. The inside pool was adequate. A Very nice large bar area with outside decking and plenty of seating. Breakfast was better than expected. Good selection of cereals, fresh fruit and fruit juices. Good choice of hot food & eggs cooked however you wanted. We all really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely stay there again !!
The Warburton / Holt Family.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the entrance to the pool. There was some noise outside around midnight outside...
