“Business hotel with some friendly aspects”

OK, this is a business hotel for visitors to the NEC, but I found the rooms (some are a long walk from the lift) to be clean and of respectable size. My one complaint was that my room backed on to the main road and the glazing was so p[oor I was kept awake by the airport and rail traffic noise. Get a room on the 'inner' side of the building if you can.
The Hub restaurant and bar were fine; the food's just the usual pre-cooked fare but perfectly palatable and not over-expensive. The brekky was fine, too.
The staff were, without exception, helpful and attentive, so no complaints there at all.

Room Tip: Ask for a room which faces the front of the hotel, across the trading estate. The rooms at the back...

Had terrible trouble checking in took over all 2 hours because they had double booked, pulled the bed back and had a huge brown stain on the sheet and chipped mugs didn't complain was hoping that when we returned the next day this would of been changed due to cleaning of the room but same sheet and chipped cups plus same dirty towels what was used remained in the room for the rest of our stay (4days) complained every day but didn't make any difference don't stay in this hotel!! Be better and cleaner in a tent in the car park!!!

We stayed one night as we had a very early morning flight and paid room price £62 which included 8 days parking, cheaper than 8 days parking alone.

We did have slight difficulty finding the hotel in the first instance but this was our fault not reading the directions correctly.

We were checked in quickly and asked if we wanted a wake up call which, considering our early start we agreed to. Unfortunately we are still waiting (thankfully my phone alarm worked).

Other than that we had a comfortable night, the room was modern, clean, great shower. We did not use any other facilities as we arrived very late and departed very early. We walked to the airport which took approx 15mins as we were too early even for the shuttle train. All in all, I would not hesitate to use this hotel again. It was very convenient and very reasonably priced for a new/modern/clean hotel.

This is an average type airport hotel which was clean and comfortable. We had a package that was good value as it included parking for the week. The problem was that we missed the turn for the hotel and ended up getting lost in the airport then having to go miles before we could turn round. On the day we were to fly we walked to the departure lounge but couldn't find any signs and got lost in the airport. It is a good walk from the terminal.

A monorail runs from the Railway station (a 5 minute walk from the hotel) every few minutes but appreciate that if this is between 2am and 5am this would not be in operation, making it a little bit of a trek. I trust you enjoyed the rest of your stay with us and hope to see you again in the future.

We (two) stayed here for 1 night on 2 October 2013. Room 3 - OK but quite small, lighting inadequate, TV fuse had blown but housekeeping did arrive within 2 minutes to re-set. Wash basin 'plug' could not be removed thus making basin unuseable, reception staff disagreed with this when I reported it for repair - I tried unsuccessfully for some time to remove metal plug with nail scissors. Some of slate-effect laminate floor in shower looks like it's been loose for months. Apart from that the room was clean and tidy. Bed firm but comfy for us. Some road and aircraft noise - have experienced much worse - but could not have window open. Could not see air-con control because lighting too dim, so room too warm for us. Had dinner - enjoyed meal, average prices, no complaints there. Breakfast OK decent choice. Only faults - milk tasted like long-life - not fresh, and it is in an urn so not good if you don't like soggy cereal, and neither of us liked the orange juice - slightly odd flavour - can not say what was wrong with it. Person sitting next to us said cooked breakfast very good - it certainly looked good, but we had toast, cereal, fruit and yoghurt. Total cost £187 incl dinner (£35). £152 for room and breakfast too dear, not worth that amount, have stayed in Holiday Inns/Premier Inns for half that price for much better all-round quality. Directions from railway station non-existent. Coming out of the station do not follow the 'Hotels' sign (like we did), opposite direction, we ended up taking a taxi round the site to the hotel after being totally disoriented not to say lost! We would not return to this hotel.

Thank you for your review, there is some good points for us to work on. The directions from the station are on our website but we will continue to work with the authorities that run Birmingham International to improve signage from there to the hotel.

It seems I am difficult to please, or so I was led to believe. However, on this occasion I urge you to check out my pictures of this filthy, broken, drain-blocked, smelly hotel. It was, simply, awful! The swirling back-wash of white, creamy substance coming out of the sink drain reminded me of a place I stayed in India 10 years ago!

The hairs stuck all over the shower cubicle made for a very unpleasant morning, as was the grotty growth climbing up the sealant from floor level.

What made it worse was the very unhelpful welcome we received. My reservation included car parking but they wouldn't have it. In the end I just paid the £7 but then received a call to my room from the duty manager suggesting I was a liar and my booking never had parking included. I have since found the original voucher and...hey presto..."Onsite Parking: Free".

I'm afraid this is a hotel to avoid with haste. It might be cheap and cheerful but there are plenty of other options at the NEC. I suppose the only good thing I can really say about it was the....erm....nope...there really wasn't a good thing!

Used the hotel after a flight. Very good value for money with 8 days parking prior to flight included. Staff greeted us politely and were efficient. Used bar same experience. Hotel is clean, practical and comfortable and what you would expect for the price. Excellent location for the airport or NEC and would recommend for a 1 night stopover.
