We visited the Teppanyaki last Friday before the theatre. The resturant opens at 6pm so is a perfect venue to take advantage of the pre-theatre meal. The food was delicious and the entertainment by the chef was good fun. Shall definitely be back.

Went to this restaurant Monday night in a group of eight.second time I have been and this time was better than the first. Over all the food was good it's a different experience certainly. The thing that might put me off going again is it's so cold in there. I would say give it a try but wrap up warm ..

This food barely resembles anything Japanese. It was badly cooked, oily and pretty tasteless. It was so bad that we left half way through the meal as we realized we would not be able to eat it. The restaurant was cold, with no atmosphere and terrible techno type music. Give it a miss and try Fiesta del Asado instead which was absolutely out of the world...the complete opposite to this restaurant in fact.

Went just before Christmas, so the place was very busy and loud, which I'm not saying is a bad thing, but please don't go expecting to have intimate conversations, especially when the chefs get started with their banging utensil routine. All very engaging.

Food was pretty good, no complaints, but nothing that I would say I hadn't had just as nice from any other restaurant of this style.

We had a fixed price menu, and the middle one was £36 each excluding drinks.

Our first visit to a British Japanese restaurant. First grade food with prime quality steak and lamb, and huge prawn and scallop for my wife. All accompanied by stir fried Japanese rice and cooked yet crunchy vegetables. A heavenly fruit dessert with coconut ice cream put the fancy bow on the parcel.
The hostess was excellent: welcoming and friendly. The waitress was elegant, friendly and good at her job. She had also learned a waitressing skill that seems to have defeated every other waiter/waitress I have ever met: she asks whether you are happy with your meal between mouthfuls; not as you have just put some into your mouth.
The chef, cooking the food at your table, was probably worth the price of the evening on his own.
Walk past all the other restaurants crowding this area of Birmingham and give Teppanyaki a try.
