All you need for one night's stay in Birmingham after a concert. Hotel is along the canal and pretty centrally located although down a side street so you may need your maps app. You can clearly see The NIA when you walk along the canal and it's only about a 5 minute walk.
Check in is from 3pm but if you pay £10 (you pay that per room, not per person) you can check in from noon which we did as we had standing concert tickets so we wanted to drop off our things at the room and go queue. You don't have to pay this in advance, we paid the £10 when we arrived at about 1pm.
The hotel is also close to the sea life centre if you're interested in going there. It's near The Mailbox which has some nice cafés and bars and I'd say it was about a 20-25 minute walk to Birmingham Coach Station. If I was coming to Birmingham for a night out or shopping trip I think I'd stay somewhere else as we couldn't see much nightlife around and the Bull Ring is about 15 minutes away to walk. However the area was safe and convenient for us so I would recommend it if you're in Birmingham to go to The NIA, Sea Life centre or for shopping/dining at The Mailbox.More
