Great to learn about this forgotten 'industry' in the Jewelry Quarter. Very knowledgable people there and it was free (although a donation is requested).

The tour around the pen museum was fantastic. We turned up half way through but no matter we caught the end and then started back at the beginning. The tour guide was a star. We could stay as long as we wanted after the tour. All staff were very welcoming. We would certainly recommend this tour and would suggest that Birmingham City Council promote it better,

We went here on Sunday and were really bored by the guy who's passion for pens stops him seeing that going on for over 45 mins about pens was just a turn off

The Pen Museum. Sounds like a joke, but the history of what we take for granted, and its social implications, is truly fascinating, helped by the enthusiastic volunteer custodians showing you how pens were made (you can have a go yourself) and the incrdible array of ordinary, custom and 'designer' knibs.

great visit, was shown around by the volunteers who are really knowledgeable and made the trip even more worthwhile. Came away with lots of interesting facts about the pen trade in Birmingham. Got the chance to go hands on with a braille machine and writing with a ink nib
