“Tricky to find”
Reviewed 22 July 2014 via mobile

My first time here in Birmingham I really struggled to find the station. I ended up catching the bus to where I need to go. I didn't realise where it was until I caught a train into the station. It is very poorly sign posted. How ever it is a sweet train station and it's relatively chilled. It's a nice break from the bigger newer rail stations. If you can find it visit it!

“Attractive restored railway station”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

Attractively restored railway station. It demonstrates how older buildings and be restored and adapted to modern use. It is a pity this approach is not adopted more often. Well worth a visit if you are in Birmingham. Welcome contrast to the many ugly 20th Century buildings nearby.

“One of a kind”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

This rail station is small but one unique point is its preservation of heritage. The signages and the ticketing office contain the old English heritage, and be aware that this station is not the main transport hub in Birmingham. It is near to St Martins so get some food after visiting this station!

“Full steam ahead!”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

What a fantastic surprise. Overshadowed by Birmingham New Street station, Moor Street is actually a little gem. Even if you are not travelling it is certainly worth a visit. I suspect young children would like it because it has a certain atmosphere of Platform 9 and 3/4 where as the grown ups can reminisce about a bygone era. It was clean, with seating and the opportunity to sit, have a cup of tea and watch the world go by. Enjoy!!!

“Well Trained”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

We go thru Moor Street every week when we pop up to St Martins and the markets.
WOW...............a proper railway station and..................it is not a voluntary thing but a working station.
I am proud of it and it is just like it was when I went to Margate from there 60 years ago..!!
