Many thanks for posting a review about your recent stay.
I am pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay.
If you do visit us again please be aware that we do offer alarm clocks at reception and the digital televisions also have an alarm.
I hope to see you hear again soon.
We stayed at this Premier Inn for one night after attending a gig at Symphony Hall at the ICC which was about a ten minute walk away.
You've seen the commercials on TV, well thats what you get. A nice clean room, a really large and comfortable bed, with clean linen and a choice of pillows ( firm or soft or both if thats what you prefer), a hospitality tray with tea and coffee, plenty of sockets for all you might want to plug in, a 'proper' hairdryer ( not like some which are akin to a baby breathing gently on your hair...) and an illuminated vanity mirror with a socket right by it for plugging in your straighteners!
The bathroom was clean, spacious and has soap and shower gel in dispensers adjacent to the sink and bath.
Premier Inns promise a good nights sleep and everything is geared towards ensuring this happens - from the soft carpetting in the corridors, to the doouble glazing and black out curtains, and the security locks on doors along the corridor ensuring that only guests can access the accomodation area and not just people who might wish to wander into the hotel. There are signs on these doors reminding guests to respect the peace and quiet of other sleeping guests.
There is an express check in where you can obtain room key cards from an automated machine and all of the information you need is given on a slip of paper when your key cards are dispensed. Alternatively, there is a human on hand to check you in if you prefer.
Breakfast is extra at this hotel, and at £8.25 for an 'all you can eat'' buffet breakfast was very good value. In fact, when we went to the restaurant after a brilliant nights sleep, we were advised that the hot food had been removed from the buffet area as it had been out since the restaurant opened ( think its served between 6.30 and 10.30am on weekdays) and was getting 'tired' but that they would prep whatever we wanted in the kitchen.
The cooked breakfast is excellent value, ( was more than we could eat!) and there is a choice of fruits, cereals, yoghurts, breads ( toast yourself) juices and tea or coffee.
We could not fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness, the value or the location - all were excellent and we would highly recommend for anyone looking for a city break.
Thank you for taking the time to post such a pleasant review.
Premier Inn strive to ensure that each guest leaves the hotel having a good nights sleep and this is why we have a 24 hour Receptionist.
I will be sharing your fantastic feedback with the rest of the team.
We stayed here for a night whilst visiting a show at the NEC. Everything about the place is to be recommended. The location is a really lovely part of the city, with lots of (not too loud) nightlife right on the doorstep, as well as the Colmore Bar and Grill downstairs. The rooms are great. Ours overlooked the park opposite, with lots of Victorian architecture to look at as well. I can't say enough good things about it. There isn't any parking though, although there is on-street parking in the vicinity, so this needs bearing in mind when booking.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review regarding your recent stay with us.
The location of the hotel is one of its best aspects and it is great to read that you stayed in one of the Cathedral facing rooms. If you choose to stay with us again please do not hesitate to contact the hotel and we shall do our best to allocate you another one of those rooms.

Dear LINDA T,
Thank you for your fantastic review!
I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time here at Waterloo Street and how much you enjoyed the 'All you can eat' breakfast with the delicious Costa coffee.
I hope to welcome you back here soon.
Overall i am very impressed with the hotel. However..... Be ready 2 wake up at 5 every mornin with the air con on blowing in ur face! And when you complain to reception they say the manager will call you. 3 complaints later and still no phone call from a manager.
They guarantee your money back if you have a bad nights sleep. I am yet to see if this is true as they will not return my call.
Thank you for posting a review regarding your recent stay, I appreciate all the feedback we receive as this helps to improve the service at the hotel.
I offer my sincere apologies that a manager did not respond to your request during your time with us.
Please contact me directly via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can discuss this matter in more detail.
I hope to hear from you soon.
This is a relatively new hotel in a very convenient city centre location. Almost everything is of a high standard as expected from such a modern hotel. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and willing to assist at all times. The room was of a good size with a good working area and comfortable seating. The bed was a good size but a little too hard to my liking. The bathroom was of an adequate size, although the soap dispenser to the sink did not work. The hotel is across the road from St Phillip's Catherdral and while I was in the hotel there was bell ringing practice; the soundproofing in the room was excellent as the sound of the bells was considerably reduced; in fact it was almost impossible to hear them. I travelled by train and the proximity to the station was welcome but not the climb up the hill from the station to the hotel (I understand that parking at or near the hotel is very limited). The food served in the restaurant (evening meal) was of a high standard, maybe not up to top gourmet level, and served by pleasant and considerate staff. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of properly cooked food available, and an extensive range of foods available; again the breakfast restaurant was staffed by pleasant an helpful people. A few points prevent me from giving the hotel an 'excellent' rating; the bed was too hard for me, the soap dispenser in the bathroom sink did not work and when I got back to the hotel for the second night the room had not been cleaned, a quiet word to the Receptionist and the problem was corrected without delay.
Thank you for the positive feedback!
The hotel is situated in a beautiful location and it is great to hear that you found it so convenient.
In regards to external noise we do try to minimise the impact to our guests as much as possible and it is brilliant to hear that it worked for you.
I was disappointed to read that you found our beds to be too hard as they are one of the best assets to Premier Inn.
I hope to welcome you back here soon!
