Stayed at this hotel for two nights midweek, payed £60 for two nights for a double room which had a double bed and single.
Hotel is in brilliant loaction. Easy walking distance to lots Birmingham has to offer!
The hotel is clean and modern with all the stuff you would expect.
Stayed on 5th floor lovely view, the room was spotless not even a speck of dust. Beds comfy, didn't eat at the restaurant as was expensive, breakfast £8.99! But there's a brilliant weatherspoons a few doors down that does a lovely cheap full English.
Would defo stay again!

Stayed: February 2013

I don’t know quite what Premier Inn’s secret is, but I’ve yet to be let down by one, and the Birmingham Waterloo Street hotel was no different.

From the incredibly friendly member of staff at checkin, through to the bar and restaurant staff for who nothing was too much trouble, and the housekeeping staff who were all cheery it’s impossible to fault any part of this hotel.

It’s excellent location, just behind the Cathedral and only 2 minutes’ walk from Snow Hill station is the icing on the cake.

I had a room on the 2nd floor that overlooked the Cathedral grounds. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were spotlessly tidy.

Positives
Great Food
Great Staff
Great Location

Negatives (and this is being really picky)
The water pressure in the shower wasn’t particularly strong so whilst it was a good shower it wasn’t a great shower.

There on business, I booked this hotel because of its location. It was a good choice - friendly efficient staff, comfortable bed and, though a city-centre hotel, it was quiet. I was on one of the top floors overlooking the park. I would be very happy to return.

I was in saveral premier in hotels and I have to say that is a good choice, they are cheap , clean and they have a good location, ( at least the ones I visited, belfast, Manchester)

The problem that we had in Birmingham hotel was they didn't give us the room until 2pm, but 2 o'clock, not only to us,to any other that were waiting like us. I was a kaos because we were all waiting for the hour at the hall which was not very big with lugagge and everything. Of course many people arrived earlier so we all went to see the city ( there is a starbucks just in front of the hotel) so at 2pm we were all back waiting for our room , asking who was first....I understand the they have a check in time and they can't give you the room at 11am , but I don't think they have all the rooms ready at the same time. We had to be somewhere at 3pm so we didn't have almost time to clean ourselves.

Thats the only problem I see in these hotels, lack of flexibility. Apart from that I would repeat if I'm not in a hurry .

Typical Premier Inn with great staff. We always try and stay with this hotel group because they are very good value for money. Anywhere we go we try and booking into PI. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Next time we visit the city we will certainly stay again.

The location of the Hotel is superb for the City Centre, the Receptionist June Kennedy who greeted us is amazing, her customer service skills are brilliant and she does it because she cares, as I am disabled she not only arranged to change rooms she came up and helped us herself, she also assisted with the automated check in as this was a first for us and our addled brains could not cope, She was kind, patient courteous and nothing was too much trouble, she is a true gem, a star and a credit to the team

Room Tip: If you need a disabled room book on the internet first to get the best price then call through to th...

The staff and hotel are great. Only let down by two things. The congregation of office workers smoking theirs brains out Just outside the door and it wafting in is annoying but the really strange thing is the whole public areas smell of stale cigar smoke. The reception corridors and stairwell all have the pungent aroma. Other than that food was excellent. The waitress was lovely. And rooms excellent value for money. I'll stay again as the annoyances don't detract from good value and service just something that'd make a good review and excellent recommendation.

If Premier Inn read these get some industrial air freshener of find out why it's smelly
