This is a good location if you are planning to travel from New Street station. On the edge of the cathedral grounds it is one of the more pleasant area in central Birmingham and pretty quiet. I have stayed here on three occasions and the rooms are a good size and well lit. There are a good range of restaurants near by.

The hotel was located in an ideal spot for what we wanted and was clean. The staff were also helpful. New street train station was a short distance (less than 5 minutes walk). ideal for all the shops.

Located right in Birmingham City Centre, just five minutes walk from New Street station and the new Bull Ring shopping centre - nearly next door to the Louis Vuitton shop! Really great hotel.

Surrounded by lively bars and restaurants but still quiet at night, with no street noise penetrating. Rooms are modern, clean, bright and comfortable. Perfect hotel for a shopping trip to Birmingham, for a weekend or even a work trip.

Incredible value for the rooms and location. Sat Nav would not accept the Waterloo Street address until we were within a mile or so of the city centre, for some reason. Tried to phone reception for help in location but couldn't get an answer.

WARNING: Driving in Birmingham is a nightmare at the moment, with roadworks everywhere. Several of these are very badly signposted and there are one way systems in operation. The main exit to the Airport when coming from the city is subject to a very badly signposted diversion which will have you driving around in circles for an hour unless you are very careful. Car Hire firms are warning about this when you pick up your vehicle and many people have missed flights because of it. If you want to fill your hire car before returning, this diversion also blocks access to the petrol stations nearest the airport.

Excellent weekend stay in a great city centre location. Bedroom was clean and comfortable, who could ask for more! Shower was excellently HOT! We both enjoyed great sleeps both nights of our stay.
The restaurant served good food in a friendly environment. Breakfast is well worth having as it set us up for the day ahead.
All of the staff are friendly and happy to help. We'll be staying again soon as Birmingham has so much to offer for a weekend away.

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel this year. The hotel has an excellent location very close to New street station approx 5 mins walk if that. The ICC/sealife are not too far a walk either approx 10-15 mins to the sealife with children. You can also walk to the Thinktank science museum which is about 20 mins in the other direction with children.
There are plenty of places to go and visit and reception staff are happy to help print out maps etc should you need them.
We always use this hotel not only due to its excellent location, friendly and helpful staff and cleanliness. Rooms are cleaned beautifully and ready on time.
If you arrive early staff can store your luggage so you can make the most of your stay. They will also do the same on check out day too.
Staff are all friendly and helpful from check in staff to the restaurant and breakfast staff.
Breakfast was busy on the Saturday morning but there was plenty of staff on and the food was regularly topped up and tables were regularly being cleaned.
We ate in the restaurant on the Saturday night and we had pre booked a table in the morning for my mums birthday. Staff had put some balloons on the chair and had got her a card which was a nice touch. The food at night time was lovely and hot and came in good time. All the food tasted lovely and the children enjoyed their food too! The waiting staff were friendly and helpful.
We will be back again soon!

We stayed there with our two kids, on our way to Scotland. Good sized room for 2. A bit crammed for 4, but OK for a one night. Good central location. The only serious downside of the hotel is that it does not have a parking, and the nearest parking is pretty bad (payment by mobile, really awkward). Restaurant noise as well.

Overall, like other Premier Inns it's very basic, but good value for money. This one has a good location as a bonus.
